Commissioner Corner Message Board
I just played my championship game yesterday (1/3/16) and won 98-97. It still shows In-Progress. When will the result be final, including stat corrections? Yahoo already has listed me at the top as Fantasy Champ and I got the virtual medal for winning the league....confused!
I still haven't seen anything and it's 6:56 p.m. CST on 1/4/16. Does anyone know when this contest actually starts and how it works?
There are other Playoff Fantasy Games you can create leagues or join a league NFL. FOX. FANTRAX? ESPN they all run Playoff leagues. But not on Yahoo.
Championship matchup against my commish. Thought he'd be cute and changed my lineup. He didn't change it back until today. I won, but the system still shows he won. Will the system update again to reflect the correct winner, or did he hose me?
well, i'm on golf now and will go to nascar. think i'm going to restart a mlb contraction league i ran years ago. see youse next season...... KEEP POUNDING!
first welcome to the wonderful world of being a commish....pay is lousy but fun :-) your are correct. you set up your playoff situation before the season starts. that's in the commish tools. you can do this for the future. your season's over now. i'd recommend NOT having the championship game week 17. a lot of studs are benched if they're on a playoff team. gl!
Enable FAAB (Free Agents Acquisition Budgets)
The FAAB waivers system gives managers a dollar amount to place blind bids on waived players. The manager with the highest bid at the end of the waiver period claims that player and that bid amount is deducted from the team's acquisition budget.
Important - It's not possible to change to a FAAB waiver priority mid-season by using the Commissioner options.
Turn on FAAB waivers
Click Edit League Settings.
Select an FAAB option from the drop-down list to the right of "Determine Waiver priority by":
FAAB w/ Continual rolling list tiebreak - waiver claims are processed in waiver priority order and each successful claim moves a manager to the end of the waiver priority list.
FAAB w/ Reverse order of standings tiebreak - waiver claims are processed in reverse order of standings and successful claims don't affect waiver priority list.
FAAB w/ Weekly rolling list based on standings tiebreak - waiver claims are processed in reverse order of standings and each successful claim moves a manager to the end of the waiver priority list.
Free Agent Acquisition Budgets (FAAB) make fantasy games even more realistic. Not only do you have to think about the best players to draft, but you also have to take into account your team's acquisition budget.
In a FAAB waivers system, each manager receives a dollar amount to place blind bids on players that are on waivers. The manager with the highest bid at the end of the waiver period claims that player and that bid amount is deducted from the team's acquisition budget.
The FAAB doesn't apply to free-agent pickups.
Bids are hidden to other managers until a player clears waivers. The winning bid will display in the Transaction log.
Players with multiple bids placed on them will display under "FAAB Bids" on a league's Transactions log.
The FAAB system charges you the exact amount you bid if your bid is successful.
The default FAAB budget for teams is $100. The commissioner of a custom league may change this amount at any time throughout the season by using the Acquisition Budgets tool.
There isn't an option to force managers to make a minimum bid amount.
The waiver priority will only change if 2 or more managers bid the same exact dollar amount on the same player.
Continual rolling list
Reverse order of standings (Football only)
Weekly rolling list based on standings (Football only)
I'm trying to find info out about the FAAB on Yahoo. I don't see anything about how it functions. I want to implement it next season but want to let everyone know about it ahead of time. Can someone point me to a link for Yahoo? If Yahoo does it...where can I see the settings?
It's in the Pro League rules.

For your league, the season is done. When you set up your league you had options for what the playoff brackets would be and which weeks they would apply to. For example, the default for public leagues is a 14 week regular season and the two playoff weeks are week 15 and 16. Teams 1 thru 4 play for the championship and teams 5-8 play in the consolation bracket. Teams 9 and 10 are done, no playoff games.
I created a private FF League for my family and the regular season is over. However, I don't see any options in commissioner tools regarding the playoffs. They are missing. So reading a bit more about it, it appears that playoffs for FF in yahoo are week 13 - 17... is this right? If so, that would mean I would have to have set that up far in advance, correct? Am I assuming there is no more Yahoo Fantasy Football after the regular season? I thank you for any help you may offer. Thanks!
