I am looking for an active manager to take over a team in a 3rd year, H2H, 16 team, Dynasty league. You keep 16 of 18 players/def each season. Than we hold a 2 round draft with an optional 3rd round (meaning you would have to drop a current player). We have a slow, email draft through message boards. This league is very active w/ draft pick trades.
The team you would be taking over currently has the 7th pick in all 3 rounds. The draft is set to start on 7/2/2016. Here is the current roster:
QB - P Rivers
WR- M Wheaton
WR- R Matthews
WR- J Crowder
RB- M Forte
RB- J Forsett
TE- T Kelce
WR/RB/TE- J Cameron (TE)
K- C Santos
DEF- New England
BEN- M Ryan (QB)
BEN- B LaFell (WR)
BEN- N Washington (WR)
BEN- V Cruz (WR)
BEN- C Johnson (RB)
BEN- K Gaskins (RB)

Satt, the SIMPLE answer to this is to eliminate the temptation of cheating, which runs rampant in ESPN leagues and is probably the PRIMARY reason you play at Yahoo in the first place. The Yahoo mentality is they allow a commissioner to choose a 4,6 or 8 team playoff bracket, and you can choose to seed them outright, or reseed after each matchup, this is in options/league settings. To allow ANY further manipulation of the playoffs would reduce its integrity. Yahoo does NOT allow conferences, they do allow divisions. You can have 2, 3 or 4 divisions and have each division winner get top seed if you desire. I would not trust any commissioner expect anyone to trust me, If I had the power to manipulate that any further.
Does anybody have a recommendation on how you can customize the playoff seeds in a league with 2 divisions, similar to how the NFL playoffs work - other than to mess with matchups during the regular season to tweak the standings? It is absurd to me that Yahoo does not have a playoff format that follows what the NFL does. All I want is to have the AFC champion play the NFC champion in the Superbowl. how is this not easily done?
or, why is there no way to alter who makes the playoffs, or to change matchups? Ideally, I want to seed teams 1-4 in AFC and NFC, 1 plays 4, 2 plays 3. the winners of these games play each other. the champion of AFC plays champ in NFC. 3rd place game is losers of 2nd round.
ESPN has been doing this for years, and if Yahoo thinks they have a superior product to ESPN they're dead wrong. quite frankly, I've been messaging Yahoo about this for the past 3 years and they've done nothing.
I would say its NOT going to happen because 1)Not enough demand.Yahoo is the #1 fantasy game and they are just fine keeping it the way it is. 2) Not really a "fair" way to mold a team each week if you have to play multiple opponents each week. One per week is fine.
That's the biggest complaint with Yahoo. If you're going to offer cash leagues, it would be nice to offer some customizable scoring. Personally, I like the Head to Head w/50/50 scoring. So in a 14-teamer, you would play your head to head match-up and also those who finish in the top 7 in points get a win and the bottom 7 get a loss. Each week, you can go 2-0, 1-1 or 0-2.
Is there anyone out there that let Yahoo! know to allow double header scheduling? We used to do this 'back in the day' on the old Fanball site. My 14 team, two division league worked out great because you would play everyone in your own 3 times and everyone else once. Now we just play everyone once. Not as fun. The only site I've seen that still does this is CBS, and I'm not paying that ridiculous fee.
We'd love to see it brought to Yahoo this season!
up to 5 Keepers each year (you can keep less), 20 bucks every year (league dues will never go up). Roster you inherit has great WRs: Antonio Brown, Dez, Cooks, Landry...email for more info: electric_lights[at]yahoo
