It seems like a pretty even deal to me, but it's hard to say for sure since it's not a 1 for 1 trade and you didn't say how deep your league is.
I am going with Caleb Joseph and Kevin Plawecki right now, I hope to drop one of them by the end of the week. If things go badly, I'll drop them both and pick another guy up from the FA pool.
1) Alex Rodriguez / Eric Hosmer / Lorenzo Cain ... 2 of them as Util ...
2) Russell Martin or Stephen Vogt as my C

I wish I could give you a response but I have the same ?. If you get a answer before I do let me know and Il do the same. My post is-I need a Catcher!!
I play in a 1 catcher League. I have Mesoraco(not on DL, but hasnt played in a week). Im looking for a catcher to fill in until Mesoraco comes back or just take over the C position for me all together. I was getting ready to add d'Arnaud when he went down. ...Now it looks slim.
Here are the catchers that are taken:
Let me know what you thank.
PS-Low avg isnt that big of a deal breaker (I have a team built for avg)
Recker seems a clear choice to not be owned at all. Could Plawecki be promoted and become the starting catcher? Would he be a better option than the other guys who have higher % ownership?
I'm in a 14 team league and I need a replacement for d"Arnaud
The top choices out there are (ranked by % owned):
Who should I go with? I haven't really done any research at all into catchers this year.
Don't overreact. I had a guy trade me Dee Gordon for Pedroia before the season. Yesterday he dropped Pedroia. I'm 4th in the waiver, I'm trying to get Pedroia back. He also dropped Betts. This guy is active but I'm not to sure if he has the patience to win at baseball. We'll see, activity overcomes everything in fantasy basebal.
I take it that you don't have DL spots on your fantasy roster, too bad. I'm stashing them on my DL so I can pick up other players. If you are losing pitching categories that you might win then I "might" do it. If you would lose the weekly matchup anyway then I wouldn't. Look at your H2H stats and see where you are strong or weak, essentially a hitting vs pitching comparison. Just remember Fernandez was the best pitcher in baseball when he got hurt, so he has a lot of upside compared to other pitchers. Don't remember do standard leagues have a DL spot?
