Yes and no.
Yes) Its odd that a team would not be active, then suddenly make a trade.
No) That's not a very unfair trade. Giving up Rask is a huge loss.
Agreed. It definitely depends on how strong your goalies are (and how strong your forwards are). If you have a ton of depth at F or very little depth at G, don't do it.
Patric Hornqvist got his bell rung on Thursday night and probably has a concussion. He left the game immediately and hasn't practiced or played since. Why on earth is he not listed as day to day???? I understand Yahoo can't put a guy on IR until the actual team does but why not put a day to day on him since he is obviously injured. Now I have to play short handed until this is corrected. Very, very irritating!
I think it really depends who your other goalie(s) are. I would do Ovechkin for Byfuglien any day, its just a matter of whether you can buffer the downgrade in net.
Want to get some opinions.
Trade went down at 11:45pm last night between the commish and the last placed team. Prior to the trade, the last placed team hadn't been active in the league since Nov 22nd. He had, and still does have even after the trade, Zajac and Elias active (both on IR) and McDonough(not on IR) on his IR.
So the trade:
Last place guy gets Tuuka Rask and Justin Braun
Commish gets Jimmy Howard and Mark Giordano
Am I right to demand some answers for this situation?

So stat categories are :
I am usually winning the goal and points categories, but losing SOG, PPP, SHG
Thanks guys. I dropped O'Reilly for Toffoli when Toffoli lit it up, but now I need blocked shots. Have been doing well with scoring, so maybe it's time. I don't think there are any trades available to be made for Toffoli, so I'll just drop him. Needed all of your reassurances 1st. LA in general doesn't seem to be producing (common theme year after year). I thought they had turned the corner, but just look at Kopitar's production.
Yea, people missed the window to trade Toffoli and Pearson. Carter is still valuable, but the two rookies who got hot? They're not that valuable anymore. Better off dropping them, but keeping a close eye in case they heat up again.
Or if you can sucker someone into a trade...
they have all dipped in production, even Carter. They are no longer playing together and I cant seem them producing at the rate they did. I actually dropped Toffoli a few weeks back because nobody wanted him in a trade and I have noticed that he has been dropped in a few other leagues I play in. I would try to trade him or drop him for someone else.
I cannot imagine seeing them producing at that rate from beggining of the season - saying they just are not one of the best lines in this league (yet).
They'll probably change that later. Kucherov was originally credited with it last night and I noticed that changed this morning. He was credited with a goal and the gwg.
What are people thinking about in regards to Toffoli? The 7's line doesn't seem intact or producing anymore. Do you people think we'll see more production or more of the same from as of late? Cheers.
I just dropped Severson (essentially no blocks or hits and currently even not producing points) and Lindholm (same arguments) for Klingberg (very balanced point producer and my new young guy) and Muzzin (getting tougher).
I decided to keep Ehrhoff as he seems to be picking up now and since he replaced Letang on the 1st PP-unit tonight. Furthermore I really like him :-)
Lets see how this develops now. Trying to defend my #1 spot in my league.
