Reject offer. Bad bench management on his part. Don't let him off the hook with trade, let him pay full price for over playing and watch him drop in standings
Keep Byfuglien as your 4th D with Weber, OEL and Gio.
That leaves you one spot for up front and I would consider keeping Steen, Callahan or taking a risk on Gaudreau. I would lean with Steen because St Louis is potent up front. He could be playing on the first line or second and put up great numbers.
my two cents
(keep in mind i've only played one year leagues so far)
Giordano over Seabrook
I would wait and see how the situation in Toronto pans out. If Phaneuf stays, I would drop him (you can always find PIM elsewhere) and keep Byfuglien as 4th D
that would leave two F spots open for Steen and Gaudreau
then target best available RW in the draft
Need some advice on whether to trade Carey Price for Stamkos. The trade was proposed by our league leader (he's way, way, ahead) who is almost out of centre/right wing games but has goalie space. I know goalies don't generate a lot of points, but the fantasy points for Price & Stamkos are pretty even over the past 30 days. While I do need a better C/RW, I also have Holtby (I had Miller, too, but dropped him yesterday). I wouldn't have to drop a C/RW for Stamkos, because I have Okposo on the IR.
Is it me or does Yahoo randomly change the lineup? I use a script to make sure I don't have anyone on the bench. I run it, check values for a few weeks, and everything seems fine. Then one day I'll look to see my stats and I have someone on the bench. Does this happen to anyone else?
How deep is this league? You have 2 forwards who see a huge percentage of starts for their team which works in your favor. Especially if you have wins, shots against, and saves as some stats. They also put up decent gaa and sv% stats so I would probably just keep them and hope for the best in the playoffs.
If your playoffs start the same time as mine (March 23rd)
You should see about 4-5 starts in total the first week (NJ has a back to back and Washington has leaned heavily on Holtby all year).
4-6 starts in the second week. (both teams have back to backs with 4 games for each team).
4-6 starts in the third week.
I'd stand pat. Even without Talbot those are pretty solid amounts of starts and with the way they've leaned on their starters I would say that 5, 6, and 6 starts for each is not out of the possibility.
If Lundqvist doesn't come back and you have Talbot as well then it's just gravy.
Would you be able to answer my keeper question as well?
Saw there was another thread asking this same questions, obviously a position a lot of people are in right now.
I'm currently sitting third in a 10 team points only pool. I'm 25 points back of first and this Kane injury is absolutely devastating. He was hands down my best player so I need a solid replacement. I have very good goaltending so I could still make a run. Here are the best options:
Eberle (been very hot lately)
I am leaning toward either Bjugstad, Galchenyuk or Markov who has put up 9 pts in his last 10 games.
What you guys think?
Question in regards to playoffs:
In net I have Holtby, Schneider, and Talbot right now, but once Lundqvist returns Talbot is gone and I'm left with just the two. What's the smart move, look for an upgrade and sacrifice depth (my biggest strength in my league), or stand pat and hope Holtby and Schneider keep playing as brilliantly as they have while keeping my team intact?

My forwards aren't the sexiest of names but out of all the teams in my league they are the best bang for your buck collectively, and they have done really well for me. However I worry if I break them up I fear I'd lose what has made me so good in my league. Any ideas or thoughts on my team going into the playoff will be appreciated, as well as an answer to my question above.
P.S. I'm considering dropping Fisher for Versteeg, do I do it?
Thanks David. I have Martin to make sure I lead in the HIT category. I know some people look at him as a streamer but I just rather keep him. I usually use him the beginning of the week and if I start to pull way ahead then he sits the bench if I need to use his starter spot. I'll definitely look into the options you mentioned.
Drop Fisher for Koivu, and if Lee is still available grab in replace for Martin (assuming you are referring to Matt Martin). Also consider dropping Jones for either Klingberg or Daley, but for what you need I'd go with Daley. That way if you drop Fisher and Jones you don't have so many players on one team, that's probably the biggest flaw you have on your team.
The categories are G... A... +/-... PIM... PPP... SHG... GWG...SOG...HIT...and then some goalie stuff
Here are my players
Tarasenko, N. Backstrom, Byfuglien, T. Johnson, Forsberg, Weber, C. Perry, Hornqvist, Kreider, C. Wilson, Kunitz, J. Faulk, M. Fisher, V. Hedman, S. Jones, M. Martin
I'm pretty much losing the SOG categories against the top teams in the league. So in theory, less SOG, less of chance to get G & A, etc.
Here are some players left in FA that lead the FA list in SOG the past month....
J. Skinner, T. Rieder, J. Bailey, T. Purcell, B. Nelson, J. Huberdeau, C. Hagelin,
Here are some players sort out by ranking the last 30 days...
T. Hamonic, M. Koivu, J. Klingberg, F. Nielsen, C. Hagelin, K. Hayes, F. Beauchemin, D. Desharnais, T. Daley
Just wondering if you see someone on this list that can help me out for the rest of the season. Maybe who I should get rid of also. Or someone I should look for that was injured earlier in the year and can help out towards the end of the season when they come back. Thanks in advance
If this is a 1 year league I would take team B, if it's a dynasty though I would probably go with team A.
Would you be able to answer my keeper question as well?
AWD, overpaying for a wonderful three week with Wild. No deal as Karlsson is so elite.
Must have a forward you can dangle or another D
I'm in a H2H Dynasty league. 16 teams looking to drop to 14 next year.
The stats are G, A, Pts, +/-, PIM, SOG, PPP, SHP, HIT, BLK, FOW. Goalie stats are W, GAA, SV%, SO
My roster is
C - Getzlaf, Couture, Brassard, Spezza, Kuznetsov, B. Gordon, B. Sutter
LW - Benn, Pacioretty, JVR, Dubinsky, Steen, Gaudreau
RW - Kessel, Little, Callahan, Brown, Erat, Stewart
D - Byfuglien, Weber, OEL, Giordano, Phaneuf, Seabrook, Brodie, Gudas
G - Price, Bishop, Quick
We will be switching to a limited keeper league with the keepers being 10 forwards, 4 defensemen and 1 goalie.
So far my keepers are (let me know if you think I should be keeping someone else.
D-Weber, OEL, Phaneuf and Giordano or Seabrook
F - Byfuglien D/RW, Getzlaf, Benn, Pacioretty, Kessel, Couture C/LW, Dubinsky C/LW, JVR, Little C/RW
Who would you keep as the last forward and would you rather keep Giordano or Seabrook.
Was thinking Giordano for dmen. Also thought Callahan just because of playing with Stammer and the grit he put's up, but I'm not confident in his ability to stay healthy. Brassard is probably my next option for grit and the ability to score and put of FOW.
Also do you think I'm making any mistakes in my selected keepers so far and should I change any choices up?
Thanks for any help you guys. It's much appreciated
