Who to Start Message Board
Tough one after trade deadline but if there is an FA or two that would be an upgrade go for it. The Leafs are full of sh#t when they all say "We care". Most if not have already packed it and playing not to get hurt as the team nose dives to A BETTER DRAFT PICK. I am sure Kessel will put a few more in but for next 16-18 games you can do better off FA list.
Go for it
the guy has been a bum for months and is really only hurting with +/-
but it's Phil Kessel. some other soul will pick him up. and that would be the time he'd snap out of his funk.
thoughts? (not a keeper league)
I agree with most keepers you selected but might have a better look between Schnieds and Varly for a tender.
As keepers tend to change from year to year Ladd & Pietro for next year. I am sure Galy & Druin's game will step next season but Ladd will out produce either. O'reilly would be the other to consider as a FW
League settings are:
Roster Positions: C, C, C, LW, LW, LW, RW, RW, RW, D, D, D, D, D, D, Util, G, G, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, IR+, IR+, IR+, IR+, NA

Goaltenders Stat Categories: Wins (W), Goals Against Average (GAA), Saves (SV), Save Percentage (SV%), Shutouts (SHO)
My players are:
I have to keep 4F,3D,1G
I'm thinking of for sure keeping Stamkos, Johansen,Ekblad, Burns,Varlamov
I need 2 more Forwards, 1 more D....who shall i keep? Gaudreau?O'Reilly?Vanek?Drouin?Galchenyuk? Pietrangelo?
I hear you. Kucherov is LW/RW, so if I keep him he will be my dedicated RW, Callahan is only RW. so they are up for the same RW slot next to C Perry. I just mentioned the LW thing because I thought someone might say keep Kucherov because he has dual value, which is not a value to me at this point.
Al about roster balance. Drop what ever player you are deepest at. No use having too may players at one position as your can only play so many each day
You answered your own question,,,,,, sounds like a LW has to go
I think my team is pretty decent... I have 2 sometimes 3 spots that become a rotating spot... My team as it sits now is
C H. Sedin
C R. Getzlaf
C J. Pavelski
LW D. Sedin
LW R. Nash
LW M. Pacioretti
RW C. Perry
RW R. Vrbata
RW R. Callahan
D E. Karlsson
D V. Hedman
D J. Garrison
D T. Barrie
D R. McDonaugh
D S. Weber
BN T. Plekanec
BN M. Gaborik
BN J. Carter
BN J. Spezza
BN D. Hamilton
BN H. Lindholm
BN M. Hoffman
G D. Dubnyk
G J. Halak
IR H. Lundqvist
I recently had to drop Ryan Miller due to his injury and had to pick up Dubnyk. Lindholm, Hoffman, and Plekanec are the spots I usually drop and pick up players depending on how many games they have that week to maximize how many I have playing on one day or another. Was just curious if this was how most people run their team or not...
Nothing wrong with what you are doing. It's your team. It's too bad you have to make the maximum moves per week. Sounds like you don't have many good players and have to keep making changes in order to compete.
I'm having the same sort of issue as to whether or not start Plekanec. As a Habs fan I'm finding it hard not to start him, but the Fantasy Hockey Manager in me keeps telling me that they are playing Anaheim on the road. I can talk myself in circles all day justifying one way or the other. In the end, for your case, being a Habs fan aside I would still likely start Gallagher as the potential for points and PIMs is higher in my opinion.
