I always sign up for autodraft leagues. I had 8 baseball teams this year. 3 teams were included in live auction draft leagues, 1 in a live draft league and 4 ended up in autodraft leagues.
Yahoo! will fill a league with autodraft teams when necessary. This year, specifically, it happened to me more often than usual.
thanks for the responses. Sorry, i guess i wasn't clear. My problem isn't the team name, but how i got into this league to begin with. I didn't sign up for it so i'm confused as to what happened.
Post draft, go to the My Team page. Find the sprocket to the top left of your team's helmet, icon or whatever. Click on it.
Now you can edit your team settings, including Team Name. Make sure you save your changes.
I play in a 11x11 league and this happens to me all the time, but by accident. I stream a lot and I'll already have one pitcher starting and I'll go get the other without realizing it. In 11x11 leagues there are a lot more categories to affect so I don't mind doing this at all and if as Sah says if it is a low scoring game with lots of K's then Yippee for me.
Yahoo removed the ability of the manager to name the team prior to joining the league, now you are expected to change it after joining the league, it is the same process though. Mock drafts have nothing to do with your issues. If you join an Autopick public league then that is the way it happens, nothing weird about it. I join custom live draft leagues only so I have more control.
I have been playing yahoo fantasy baseball for many years so i'm embarrassed to be asking this. I was placed in a public league this season without my consent. I was given a generic team name, and from what i can tell there were other teams added that were also "league fillers." A friend of mine said that my participation in a pre season mock draft might have had something to do with this. can anyone educate me on this?
If you need 2 wins, you have a problem. What you can hope for is a well pitched, low scoring game where you get good stats from both pitchers and a Win from one.
I only worry about h2h situations like this when I'm desperate for wins, especially in the playoffs.
I am assuming this is a standard 5x5 rotisserie with 5 keepers. Is that right? Can you trade for draft picks? Is there a consolation contest for the bottom six to play for the first round draft pick next year? What is a policy on league votes for trades?
I'm considering it, but would like to know a little more.
Am I the only slob who's having trouble opening Statracker? Sometimes, like MOST TIMES, it gets stuck loading at 70%. I'd write directly to Yahoo, but I'm tired of their form letter responses, which usually don't address the situation properly.
keepers with no restrictions, 12 teams, rotisserie. The roster is as follows...
RL, I'm looking for an active owner too. Check it out yourself at the following URL. Available teams are Vatos Locos or Dennis Son of Randy. http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/155612
The league is very active but the owner of a team decided to back out. Team is fine but needs a very active manager. Please put your email below and i'll transfer the team
