Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I'd try to package Schwarber with McCutchen and see which of the owners of the players you mentioned to trade for would bite. You can always up the ante if need be.
Fair enough... but take away that 2nd half and he's still probably more valuable then Carrasco. Cueto has left a bad taste in everyone's mouth with the poor stat line from KC, but he's probably the best player in this group.
I'd keep Cespedes for a couple of reasons... 1, his perceived value is so much higher. Whether like him or not, someone in your league does. Someone likely views him as a top 25ish player. So why not take advantage of that value? Sell him high after you keep him. 2, hitters should probably always be kept over pitchers when all else is equal.
Upgrading keepers is always a good thing... I'd try to for Goldschmidt, Trout, and/or Harper. Pair up any of those guys in two for 1s and see if they bite. Ultimately you'll only know if you try... but yes, it's worth the upgrade.
I'm questioning what Cespedes will do because he caught fire once traded to the mets & I do like Cueto going back to the NL & being on the Giants.
In a 10 team H2H league, 4 keepers max
I have several players that are keeper worthy (Kershaw, Donaldson, correa, McCutchen, Edwin Encarncion, Blackmon, Marte...maybe even rendon and schwarber) Like everyone else, I am trying to get the best 4 keepers possible.
Would trading McCutchen make any sense? Who could I target? What If I package McCutch with EE. Could I get back Harper, Trout or Goldschmidt?
Am I overthinking things...should I just keep McCutchen and be happy?
All will be 29/30 in season, so there is no age advantage anywhere. Cespedes is coming off of the best season, by far. And never fond of keeping pitchers. Cueto has the better career of them all and is back in the NL. Carrasco is easily the worst of this bunch.
I'd go Cespedes, Cueto, Carrasco in that order
Have to keep one of these players. Who would be the better option for a keeper? I am leaning towards Carrasco. Standard 10 cat scoring.
OF: Y. Cespedes
SP: C. Carrasco
SP: J. Cueto

Trading James Loney would allow the Rays to use Corey Dickerson as their primary DH.
