5x5 H2H league, who should I keep, pick two of these?
Carrasco in the 20th round
Betts in the 20th round
Teheran in the 14th round (last year of eligibility)
Jose Fernandez in the 18th round (last year of eligibility)
Confusing but if I understand you correctly: 1st round pick and Longoria for Edwin Encarnacion.
Edwin E is not going to have third base eligibility this year. You have Rizzo at first base, you would be locking a UTIL spot and would have to invest an early pick to get a plus player at third.
I would decline.
The choir will tell you Rendon. His skills are more diverse and you get an extra year. What I would suggest is that you factor in replacement value or what you would be willing to trade to obtain the player. It will be a lot easier to find in free agency, minor-league call ups, or trade for a speedy outfielder (Rajai Davis, or Michael Bourne) than a Plus player with 2nd/3rd eligibility.
I am in a 4 man head to head keeper league. I traded away a lot of players last year and have four 1st round picks would you....
Keep all four 1st rounderz
Upton, longoria, scherzer, rizzo
Or trade a first to have three first rounders
Upton, encarnacion, scherzer, rizzo
Our Keeper League, now going into its 7th season, needs one manager to take over a team whose manager went MIA halfway through last season. Team has plenty of talent - they were by far in first place before the manager threw in the towel. Here are the players on the roster (and you'd also have plenty of time before draft to make trades before making keeper picks):
I'm not saying I believe those projections either KXL, those are from the Sporting News, I agree with you I would go Rendon all the way over Hamilton and think Rendon will have a better year than those projections..
Rendon....no doubt. Hamilton basically gives you ONE cat. Rendon gives you 5 cats and is a 2B/3B!!!!! Way more valuable.As for NC3's projections theory.....no way Rendon has only 57 RBI...NO WAY!!!! He was .287 111RUNS, 39 DOUBLES, 6 TRIPLES, 21 HR's, 83 RBI's, and 17 SB's.
id say it all depends on where you are in your league. if you want to rebuild then you did great. if you want to compete, then id say it probably wasnt the best deal
i like polonco. everyone is bashing him based on part of a season in the majors for the first time...plenty of guys struggle when they first get the call and end up to be good assets. the milb track record of polonco is impressive and i like his overall skill set bc he does everything average to above average
Nobody is going to deal Baez for Walker... You'll have to up your offer...
That said, I don't expect much from Baez. He might start in AAA. I'd say about 18-20 HRs in about 2/3 of a season, but not much else. He'll progress, but he has aways to go.
