Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I think you said it yourself i know marshall is a brand name, but hes in NY and hes on the wrong side of 30 now, forsett i dont know how old he is off hand im guessing about 30 also, but he has little wear since he has been non existent his whole career. Balitmore will always try to establish the the run each game, he is a safe pick to me.
Its a pretty solid team, but that team rather scares me right there. AP i mean the guy missed all last year what should we expect. Julio im a fan of but has had the injury bug. Forsett and Cameron are they 1 year wonders? Marshall did he go to rot in NY? Peyton he looks pretty bad at the end of last year what does he have left in his tank? Benjamin Sophomore slump? Call me picky but i cant have that make unknowns on a team.
Knew you had the 2nd overall pick.
How many top players are available for draft, after keepers are announced? Comes down to what you value more: Ellington & #7 pick or Marshall, #10, & 3rd rd pick.
I can see why you are considering with that awful rb2. Never make a trade out of desperation though, unless you think it will win your league. This is not that trade.
The only trade that was even bad was the gronk one. None are even close to vetoes. The draft he had was what was ridiculous. How many rb2 did he have? 5.
I am in a deep full point ppr league with six keepers. (QB,WR,RB,3 flex)
So far I am keeping the following:
My dilemma is whether or not to keep Brandon Marshall who has injury history as well as QB issues or Forsett who is a ppr monster. Let me know what you think. Other keeper options would be Vereen, L Murray, V Jackson, and Stills. Any feedback would be great.
Do you lose the round they were drafted in or how does it work? I am interested in team #1. my e-mail is c_borders @ yahoo
For a 12 team league, that's a stout team. Underrated but very good RBs, and if Ingram or Hyde don't work out, Jennings will put up some numbers if he stays healthy. I think he's undervalued, especially considering Andre can't catch.
Julio and OBJ will make you some points for sure.
this is a 12 teamer what you think?
QB Ben Roethlisberger
WR Odell Beckham Jr.
WR Julio Jones
WR Michael Floyd
RB Carlos Hyde
RB Mark Ingram
TE Greg Olsen
BN Rashad Jennings
BN Ryan Mathews
BN Charles Johnson
BN Rueben Randle
BN DeVante Parker
K Matt Bryant
DEF Green Bay
BN New York
Usually only draft 1 DEF but I actually think the Jets are going to create a lot of TOs and it was my last pick. Personally I'd be happy with this team remember it's a 12 team league so they don't get as stacked as 10 teamers.
I normally wouldn't take a QB that early, but it was hard to pass Peyton up in that spot. Normally I end up with Tannehill or Eli or Ryan in a later round. I agree on the bench, I just didn't post it here. Nromally I end up with Yeldon, Stewart, Jennings, Jarvis Landry etc... I'm careful about bench guys too.
Yeah, real drafts are different, but mocks give you a basic idea of who is going where. Thanks for the input.
I like doing mocks as well, but I don't rely on the results at all because it all comes down to what the ppl you are drafting with do. I usually play 5-6 leagues and pretty much every team is different because of the difference in drafting groups. I'd say that's a decent out come, but it is also a 10 team draft and I usually play 12s. I don't like going QB that high but that's my own opinion. Also don't get carried away with your starting guys and forget about your bench. Bench is what makes you are breaks you most of the time, because hardly ever does a starting team end up being the starters at the end of the year. Due to injury or underperformance.
I've done a few mock drafts, 10 team leagues, usually picking in the 4th-6th range of first round. Looking for some input. Most recent draft, I had the 4th pick....
1st round - AP, could have taken Marshawn
2nd - Julio, could have taken Jordy or Calvin
3rd - Kelvin Benjamin, could have had Mike Evans
4th - Forsett, I usually end up with him or Ingram in this round
5th - Peyton, figure he's a steal in 5th round.. yardage may be down this year but I'm hoping for plenty red zone TDs
6th - Brandon Marshall, could have had VJax
7th - Jordan Cameron, picked him up higher than normal but there'd been a run on TEs for some reason. Plus I figure he'll do well with Tannehill (who I'd consider picking up if I lose out on a Peyton or Brady in mid rounds)
Decent starting lineup or did I miss the mark on some of these? I've found that going RB, WR, WR, RB works well. When I've taken two RBs in first three rounds, I end up with a bad choice for my WR2.
