Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
First of all, stop asking for advice if you're going to back yourself into a corner and 'LOL' at the people offering you advice. Especially when all you do is talk trash about people's teams without backing it up.
Eli is not a top 5 QB. Let's get that straight. He hasn't been top 5 in AT LEAST 3 years. That was with Cruz, Rueben Randle, Bradshaw, David Wilson, Nicks. When you refer to Ben McAdoo's system, do you mean the one where he is a former TIGHT END and QB coach? Because that is not the architect of the Packer's passing offense. Vereen is an upgrade and Jones could be an upgrade but that doesn't mean Eli will make them all superstars or himself for that matter.
Your argument about your RBs is somewhat sound assuming CJ and AP finish as 1 and 2 this year. Not likely but not impossible.
Evans and Hopkins being top 10 makes me chuckle. Winston won't keep Evans in the top 10 and the fact that Johnson is gone makes the situation worse for Hopkins. Not only do I think that Hopkins can't handle the extra defensive attention but just trying to account for the volume of targets that Johnson had will make him faulter. I think they force feed him the ball which is the only reason he will be relevant. Still not top 10.
Quit crying about people telling you that your team sucks for an 8 person league. If you don't want input then dont #$%$ ask for it.
It all depends on a few things.
1) Do you believe that Manning's neck surgeries and age lead to a deterioration in his numbers down the stretch last year?
2) Do you believe that ODB's phenomenal rookie year is something he's likely to duplicate?
3) Do you believe that Adams is a legit fill in for Jordy?
4) Do you think that you'll make the playoffs whether or not you pull the trigger?
If your answer to all 4 of those questions is "yes", then pull the trigger. Over the last 5 games of the 2014 regular season, Luck outscore Manning by nearly 7.5 points per game, making up the vast majority of the scoring differential between the two. With another year of wear and tear on Manning, and more weapons at Luck's disposal, that difference figures to be even greater in 2015 (if you believe in question #1 -- which I do).
If you think that OBJ is legit, then choosing between him and Julio is basically a coin flip (I'm personally hedging on that one, and airing on the side of Julio... but I'm more cautious of break out players than your typical player), which brings us to Adams v. Cobb. That's a pretty big risk being that we've never seen Adams in the role before, but if you think he's a lock for solid numbers than no way would you figure Cobb outscores him by 8 points a week down the stretch.
Still, if you can honestly look around your league and think that you'll have to scratch and claw your way into the playoffs - this takes the Manning/Luck factor completely out of the question, and no way should you make this deal. However, if you believe that you're in great shape - go for it and don't look back. Its a risky move, but it could pay off HUGE down the stretch.
Doesn't matter even if the guy is stacked at RB. They only time a trade should be vetoed would be bc of cheating. It's not up to you to determine how other managers see/value their or other players.
Since this guy claims everyone who doesn't find his team to be the holy temple of fantasy & accuses all of playing in 4/6 or whatever team leagues as the reason why, I'll post my 12 team. Standard scoring league.
QB - Sam Bradford
WR - Antonio Brown
WR - Mike Evans
WR - Nelson Agholor
RB - LeSean McCoy
RB Carlos Hyde
TE - Martellus Bennett
K - Nick Folk
DEF - NYJ
BN - Arian Foster
BN - Charles Johnson
BN - Devin Funchess
BN - Colin Kaepernick
BN - Darren McFadden
BN - Monte Ball (for now)
but someone else will have Bennett, Daniels, Witten, Cameron, and Thomas though... so he's playing from behind there. You know Luck, Rodgers, Manning, brees, Roethlisberger, Wilson, Tannehill, Romo, Ryan and Brady are owned. So he's behind there. Evans is the 10th best wideout or so. So he's behind there... He probably has the best RB bench. But you don't get extra points for that. This team is really, really bad.

I think you RBs are more perception than reality. Foster just does not stay healthy. Murray's entire resume is built on 4 carries in one game last year. Hyde will be a RB2 with limited ceiling. And Bell is trying to come back from 2 injuries and has a rookie pushing him. Like stated below, you might want to start throwing out trades to bolster your RBs. WRs...no problem there. Ryan...just hope Julio stays healthy. I could see Bradford being your starter. Cameron..if not Gronk...then doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter... He's on your BN and you ahve the Pats backup RB as your starter. You're upgrading your team massivley even if you're giving up a great player.... which I don't think you are. I think they will have similar value, Maclin and Ivory.
I LOVE your team. Its the best team I've ever seen. It would be competitive even in a 20 team league!
From a scale of 1-10 I give you ELEVEN.
Amazing that you put together such an awesome team even without a 2nd round pick!
You are a master. You are king. You'll win 2 championships this year with this team.
Only in my wildest dreams could I put together such an awesome roster!
yea...I know Mike. and I know you too. speaking of clowns...you're this season's juvenile A-clown who thinks they're clever and funny. you're just another idiot who fills that role every season. nothing new, nothing clever. you're just another attention craving fool...masquerading as a man.
