Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
16T H2H Dynasty
Trade my C Clay TE MIA for H Nicks WR IND..
Start 2 WRs, 1 TE with 2 flex spots
Currently have Ladarius Green and Eric Ebron now also for TE. Have K Allen, Garcon, Harvin, Hunter, Michael Floyd for WR.
Think Clay would prob be bench but possibly start with average TE results while Upside of Nicks with Luck could be much more valuable. Just not sure how Nicks has been fitting in while they still have Hilton, Wayne, and moncrief along with two decent TEs??

I'd take lacy.. esp if unlimited keeper where you can keep lacy for many yrs. He is in better, more efficient offense (against a weaker division defense) and def 3 down back. Lunbar could sneak into demarco's touches and murray always has the injury risk.

I have to just debate the Stanton vs cargo comp 1st... Stanton is in much worse environment and lineup and has done just about equally except sb. But Stanton has the higher career OPS and started being elite at much earlier age ( by 4yrs) without the benefit of Coors. I do agree No one knows how a prospect will fair in majors - look at Delmon Young (former #1 Overall Prospect). Even if You are die hard Cubbie fan you should be able to get at least another keeper upgrade or strong non-keeper player to help win ths yr also. Plus there are plenty of Cubs Prospects (or other teams prospects) to target who you can get cheaper.

They announced knoshown could be out all preseason so Miller will run with 1s and management will have to go with him on a decent upside offense who will run a lot. Most already know he has the talent do he is def the pick here as Jackson will have to compete against 2 other strong rbs for reps

Unless it is ridiculous scoring league where QBs score 2Xs more than others - I would def take Lacy #1!! Even then.. I might still take lacy unless I knew 8+ other QBs were being kept. They are talking that Lacy will be 3 down back on one of top 4 offense in league. Rodgers isn't goin anywhere for a long time so Lacy has some security unlike Ball and Foster

Gore is getting close to that dropoff age and they have very capable backup rb in hyde and lattimore was a fav of management when they drafted him. He could prove healthy as yr progresses. I suspect they will even go after another rb as they lost a couple already due to injury. I would take cobb here as he was on a great pace last yr on explosive offense.

You can def rule out lynch as he will be losing carries to Michael - think at least 70/30 split. Already a little bad blood with team and he has already considered retirement?? Just a rumor I read he said but a risk nevertheless (point is we do not know where his head is and what he is thinkn). Megatron has a lot more competition from market to be top dog. I would go graham here

W/R/T S Vereen
Bench L Miller, Foles, Tannehill, J Hunter, Ingram, M Floyd, L Green, R Cooper, Ivory, Finley, Broyles, Denario
Need to drop at least 2. Need to drop a 3rd for the number 8 pick in rookie draft (which is obviously what I should do). Need to drop a 4th and 5th for 2 3rd rd picks. (remember - rookie draft in 16t league so might not be much left)
Thinkn drop Denario, Broyles, Finley at least and scoop up a ebron or a rb (was hoping devonte would drop to me but gaining a lot of hype now). Thinkn I should try to trade cooper for a earlyish 2nd rd pick for a flier
16T H2H Dynasty. Plus holds and obp. currently in 1st. Have gotten lucky and was building for future BUT thinking I should try to win this yr. What should I strenghten to solidify for playoffs? Many managers willing to do 2for1 types as long as getting younger. What are the weak links/regression candidates on team who should I target? Worth dealing prospects?

ridiculous team but you prob already know it. hahaha. should cruise for a few yrs at least. I would try to get a backup SS for the future. Preferably as a prospect maybe. Tulo you have to worry about injury, his frustration about Col losing (possibly being dealt - by management or him demanding it), and/or a possible switch at position - I read before season it might be worth moving him to less demanding position (1B?) to avoid injury as they have several decent option for SS in minors. Just rumors BUT all together worth getting a backup plan in the works. Again I might go for a prospect as this yrs active SS crop are total #$%$ shoot going forward it seems. Maybe package a Closer and a another lower SP for a addison russel type if possible.

I would def make deal seeing how you only keep 5 keepers. If dynasty it would be a little harder. Then I would shop around for a rental 2B till next yr (draft). Alcantara has showed alot of promise and could stick around as I think the cubs may play him all over field. I may try to flip donaldson for keeper worthy 2B/SS (package rollins or escobar maybe) or pitcher

I would lean on Gallo side but it is close. ANYTHING can happen with prospects. But, Gallo could be special in Tex! only 20 right now I believe and could lead minors in HRs 2 yrs in a row. He could only end up a .240-#$%$ but should come through with 30+ HRs @ 3B position. I think his floor could be what Pedro Alvarez has been doing. Pitchers are so deep every yr and not confident Cecchini ever develops more than 10HR power which does not play at all for a 3B. Plus he has alot of competition throughout system and plays for a team who has little patience.

depends on who you would be dropping and how big benches are. Are you in contention this yr? He is def appealing but if you were hovering around the playoff cutoff and currently were confident in the players you already had who are producing better than Choo... I would hold steady. He is no spring chicken and OF is very deep in 'ordinary' 10 team league - not sure how many OF you can start.

If you are intrigued by Heaney then I might not drop anybody. Locke (very low Ks) or Stroman (tough division, do teams figure him out?) are iffy for diff reasons but just seem to have higher ceilings than McHugh and HOU. If Rubby falters than def him. He is just a filler and Buccholtz has been pitching better. Unless Peavy gets traded to STL. Then Rubby could have real sneaky value.

I Don't know how your scoring is setup up exactly... some are setup up really weird. Just to get a feeling, I would look up last yr pts differential between the top 6-11 QBs (which may be available to you - be surprised how many managers do not pay attention to league setups or are just stubborn and pick RB) to the rest of pack. Then compare to the pt differential from top 2 WRs or top 2 RB to rest of guys. Take into consideration bounceback campaigns this yr and injury's last yr also when analyzing - Jay cutler may not appear to be top 24 QBish last yr but will be this yr.
Doesn't matter so much how they score as a group but the difference in pts between elite to the rest. (keeping in mind it is a 2 qb league so def wanna focus on filling those slots obviously - we are just talking about your 1st or 2nd rd pick which you might wanna grab an elite WR/RB)
50pts difference between the QB available to you at #11 to the next 15-20 QBs
(QB pt range 500-450)
90 pts difference between the top RB/WR available to you vs next 20
(RB pt range 300-210, WR pt range 280-190)
Even if QBs score more as a group I would def grab an elite RB or WR if the gap is greater. Maybe even at my 1st pick if Mccoy/charles still avail. Def get a QB in my top 2 of 3 picks though.

I Like team B only if they have surplus in Pitching and need help in OF bigtime. Also hanley's long list of injuries (does he stay at SS? is he staying with LAD?) concerns me. Braun still super solid and myers can crush.
- wildchild wildchild Jun 29, 2014 2:19 PM Flag
yeah... tough call. I have faith in kazmir keeping it up in OAK (they work miracles with pitching) more so than beckett or arrieta (does he stay in CHI?) BUT that is flip of coin. I would gamble with walker over beckett as beckett always has injury issues.
- wildchild wildchild Jun 29, 2014 2:14 PM Flag
I wouldn't do it. Agon isn't that old yet - still 5 more yrs. Tanaka could be top 5-10 SP for many yrs. Dickerson has "chance" to be as valuable as Hosmer or andrus himself.
