the pens put fleury on week-to-week status today which means he's going to be out until at least mid december. i'd hold onto sabby for now, although nabbing mason while he's still a FA would also be a good backup plan. do you have anyone else on your team you could afford to dump?

i'm sure you already know: vokoun has lost his starting job. budaj is playing better and stastny and svatos may have finally turned the corner...BUT he's still not a #1. sanford is apparently starting for the nucks again and he may be a decent stop gap option, but only for a short time. steve mason has the job in columbus and looks great.
but despite the above pros and cons, you still have no #1 stud and my opinion is, you can't win a fantasy league w/o one. so trading for luongo now (buying low) is a good strategy.
first off, girardi is a good young Dman who will get you a decent return on pts and SOG, so you aren't losing a tremendous amount by giving up markov (i personally undervalue D in fantasy, so any chance i have to give up a stud D to get a stud F or G, i take it).
as for semin, trading him now means you're trading him while his value is diminished. i wouldn't do that. in fact, i just traded for him in my league (i gave up briere and ellis - the next day, briere was shelved for 4-5 weeks - whew). i'm stacked at LW so my plan is to wait until semin gets back and then i'm going to shop him hard.
so by logic, i'd hold on to semin for now. who else do u have that you can afford to give up? perhaps a guy who is overachieving and makes for an ideal "sell high" candidate. -

out of curiosity, why do you care about having players all on the same team? i understand wanting them on good teams, but is there any other strategy i'm missing?
