Since a lot of these posts have been deleted finding information has been challenging. Does anyone know why the H2H playoff brackets have not progressed? I am guessing there was an updating problem on Yahoo's end, and a fix is in progress.
Thanks for the help. -

In the next to last round your risk is very low, so I think it was a good move. I think he'll post solid numbers, but even if he doesn't so what. Your cost was low.

I agree. Limiting the amount of moves a team can make during the season is the way to go. In a couple of my leagues we take it one step further in the playoffs. We switch to max moves per week, usually two, to prevent a team from saving their moves until the playoffs and then streaming to win the championship.

Depends on how the draft for the league is set up. One option is the player you keep occupies the position he was drafted in. For example if you drafted Braun in the 1st Rd and Lawrie in the 8th Rd last year you would not have a pick in those Rds this year. Any Rd that was not used for a keeper selection you would use to draft a new player.
Some leagues have the keepers distributed at the beginning of draft. For your team the first 10 rds would be your keeper selections, and your first actual draft pick would be in the 11th Rd. If another team only had 9 keepers they would have their first pick in Rd 10. -
I would do the same as you: Longoria and Strasburg.

Tell me A.D. when was the last time the best team in MLB actually won the World Series? It wasn't last year with the Giants, or the year before with the Cards, or even in 2010 with the Giants. It was 2009 when the Yanks won. My point is in real life baseball the best team doesn't win each year. It is usually the team that gets hot and lucky at the right time. That is why H2H simulates real life baseball better that Roto. You just need to get into the playoffs to have a shot because luck and hot streaks are in play. No one ever said baseball(real or fantasy) was suppose to be fair.

Personally I would keep Pujols and Jones and trade Goldy. If you are intent on trading Pujols because he is agining, and want to get max value before it deminishes too much, you should trade for someone other than Hamilton. He gets dinged up way too much imo.

I would go with Posey, Goldy and Rios. At their best Rios puts up better 5x5 numbers across the board than Altuve.

Kinsler has a lot of value at 2B as compaired to other 2B. Only Utley will put up better numers. If you really want Lee I would ask for a #2 pitcher as well as the 14th pick.Or include one of your SP, except Bills, and ask for Lee, #2 SP, the 14th and the 15th. It would be helpful to see his roster to see what options are there.

I usually wait until the 5th or sometimes 6th Rd before drafting a pitcher. SP is deep and you can always find hidden gems on the WW. With this strategy you won't get the top end Aces like King Felix, Kershaw, Verlander or Strasburg but you have ample opportunity at pitchers like Cain, Cliff Lee, and Weaver.
