Hopefully we'll be able to use the old version for our live drafts. Recently I tried the new version during a mock, and I was very disappointed (not a surprise). Not only was the screen hard to read, I had problems when I was scrolling down the list of players - if a draft pick was made before I could click on a particular player the screen refreshed and I had to start scrolling down once again... VERY FRUSTRATING! When the mock was finished I completed the survey and voiced my dissatisfaction. As usual, Yahoo "upgrades" are really DOWNGRADES in disguise. The main source of my frustration is that fantasy football seems to be the guinea pig for changes. It seems to me that Yahoo should use less popular fantasy sports to experiment with (like NECKCAR, or hockey) before they mess with their most popular fantasy sport.

This subject is near and dear to my heart - please excuse the length... In my opinion, NOTHING beats a live, offline, in-person draft experience!!! I've been blessed to have participate in such a local league for a number of years. Make sure you get the league rules published in advance of your draft! Next, I highly recommend that you take a little bit of $$ out of the pot and buy a league trophy. There's nothing like going to the annual draft with the trophy proudly displayed in front of you! Guys might protest the initial expense of the trophy, but I would stand firm. It's a one-time expense and is well worth it! Also, insist that you get everyone's $$$ IN ADVANCE. Insist that if they don't pay before the draft - they cannot draft a team. As commish, I've wasted too much time over the years as a collection agent. You may want to set a cutoff date for entry fee due dates. If they can't get the $$$ before the due date, you'll have time to recruit a replacement manager. As far as draft facilitation, I always take my laptop to my draft. In addition to recording everyone's picks, I'll have my "cheat sheet" handy. Some leagues purchase draft boards - there's a lot of boards out there for sale, get one to suit your needs and budget. The draft board is an league expense, but it makes for an excellent draft experience! Get a timekeeper - preferably someone that's not drafting a team. As commish, you'll be busy enough recording everyone's picks and drafting your own team - you really don't want the extra burden as timekeeper. You can also make the timekeeper in charge of the draft board, it helps the draft flow better. Finally, have a fantasy "super bowl" party. Not only is it another opportunity to get everyone together, it's fun when you win the $$$ and the trophy! HAVE FUN! You are truly blessed that you can have a in-person draft! It looks like my league will dissolve this year, so enjoy your league while you can!!!

I don't know how to delete a league, but if you messed some things up I'm sure that any one of the helpful people on this forum would be glad to assist you correct whatever mistakes you made during league setup.

First you need to renew the league. Then, the person that you want to transfer commissionership to needs to join. Once they've joined, go to Commish Tools - Assign Commissioner Access and click the appropriate person to transfer commisionership to. Easy-peasy!

Also, I found this:
Can a Live Draft be paused? Can we undo a draft selection? If so, how many selections can we undo in a row?
During a Live Standard or Live Auction draft, a commissioner can pause the draft up to five times by calling either a 30-second or 3-minute timeout. During each timeout, the commissioner may undo up to five recent picks.

Commissioners can enable or disable draft pick trading by doing the following:
Log into Yahoo Fantasy Sports.
Click on your league.
Click on the Commish Tools tab.
Choose the Edit League Settings link.
To the right of "Allow draft pick trades:", choose either Yes or No.
Click the Submit button at the bottom of the page.

No, I do not believe you can trade draft picks once the draft has started. Once the draft room opens (30 mins before draft) the draft order is locked and not able to be edited.

Yes, there has been a problem with invites this year. Look here for some info: http://help.yahoo.com/communities/index?page=forums&topic=07bc23cfcc724c57a7a58ea5270862c2&forumname=Fantasy%20Football&topicname=Invite+problems Here's my $.02 worth: A few weeks ago, I was affected by this problem. The commish in question had a AOL email account that he was using. Thankfully, one day I read where the problem was fixed - and I had the commish re-sent the invite and I (as well as 2 other guys) received the invite. You might try reporting your problem to Yahoo, but you may have better luck trying to reach The Wizard Of Oz. I would suggest sending an email out to everyone in your league describing the problem, and keep sending out the invites everyday until (hopefully) everyone receives them. If you have an AOL account, you might try to make someone (that's already in the league) the commish - for the purpose of having them send the invite and see if that resolves the problem. Whether or not it works, they can always make you commish again. Good luck!
I have some questions about Yahoo FF's Draft Pick tools.
First , once the trading of draft picks is "turned on" and your league can trade future draft picks - is there a way to view what draft picks a particular team (or all teams) owns?
Second, once a trade involving future draft picks is approved by the commish - is there a way to go back and modify the draft picks that were traded? I know I can modify anyone's roster, but I cannot seem to find out how to modify draft picks.
Third, I believe that all the Yahoo Draft Pick tools do is to add/subtract what draft picks are available in the next year's draft. I believe the draft pick tools are only relevant if you hold an annual online draft and are meaningless if you hold an annual offline, rookie draft (i.e. dynasty league).
Of course if I could find how to view what draft picks a particular team/s own I could use this tool to easier facilitate future draft picks rather than manually managing this on my own.
Any help or thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you for your time!

I've been getting a 999 error when trying to access Yahoo Fantasy Football lately.
I receive the following text "Unable to process request at this time -- error 999 Unfortunately, we are unable to process your request at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again later.".
I've tried to reboot, clear cookies/cache and even try different browsers but I keep getting the same error. The only cure I've came up with is to literally turn my pc off for a few hours and try again later.
My pc anti-virus software is up-to-date, in addition to my anti-spyware/anti-malware software.
This problem is only apparent in Yahoo Fantasy Football, and not any other Yahoo services like Yahoo Groups or Yahoo Mail.
I'm the commish of multiple leagues on Yahoo Fantasy Football, but if this problem cannot be resolved before the regular season I'll have no choice but to move to another fantasy football hosting site.
It would be nice if I could have an email discussion with someone from Yahoo could address this problem, but my chances of talking to the Wizard Of Oz might be higher.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

This is an AWESOME idea! I currently am not getting invites to 2 of my leagues and I've sent the commish this workaround. Thank you SO much for being a VERY valuable contributor to the boards!
