Renewed my league. all coaches joined. Then, one coach went inactive and I need to replace him. Went through commissioner tools and used the "transfer team" option. Link gets emailed out, but when the new coach clicks, he gets an error message. anyone else having this issue? any suggestions? thanks!
Deep league, 22 mandatory keepers, 20 teams, 30 man rosters. Boegarts owner has Tulo and is last and next to last in Wins, ERA, and WHIP. Salazar owner has 0 at short stop and almost exclusively prospects, including heavy on SP prospects after inheriting a bad and abandoned team. Is this a fair offer? Should the Salazar owner want to get Boegarts? Is Bogey more of a 15 hr, .280 hitter or does he have good chance at more upside? thanks

feel free to send me info on league.....settings, etc. I've played since 2003, including 20 team leagues. pepper69fun
played over ten years with good success. Always active, always respond promptly to trade offers, and never walk away from a team. I prefer leagues that are established keepers, with coaches that will post and be active. I really hate hostility and rudeness. I don't mind taking over a bad team. I prefer roto and a bit deeper. No ten coach leagues and such. I'm not too fussy on precise settings and am comfortable doing different categories that I've not done before. if interested, hit me up at pepper69fun on yahoo and we can discuss
greetings! I am starting a new fantasy league. we are at 13 and moving towards 14 to 16. I know 7 from prior leagues and recruiting new folks. roto. 7X7, but nothing weird. 27 man roster. 3 NA. 3 DL. C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, OF, OF, OF, OF, IF, UT and Sp, Sp, Rp Rp, PPPPP. 1800 innings.
Auction draft first year to fairly distribute the talent and avoid complaints like "i missed trout cuz i didn't get the top pick". No worries. want him, then buy him.
2nd year and after. snake draft.
keepers are variable. you build a monster, then you can keep all 27. you build a minnow and you can keep 0. Or you can pick any number in between 0 and 27. Reasons I like this: bad teams can ditch bad players and get first shot at the new talent. this lets bad teams rebuild faster and helps keep the league from getting stale. Adds a lot of strategy on back end of everyone's rosters on should you keep him or should you throw him back.
Core group posts a lot, makes tons of trades, friendly trash talk and generally has a good time. new players? seriously, I got no idea....lol. But i'm not gonna put up with harassment or general Def-Con 1 level jerks.

against their will? that's not really possible. I suppose you can complain to Yahoo, but I doubt that will get commish gone. MAYBE you could get Yahoo to remove YOU from the league. If the commish wants to be gone, then he needs to make someone else the commish, then the new commish can remove the old commish
I am starting up a new dynasty league. Roto, 7X7 (nothing strange). 27 man roster. auction draft first year to distribute talent. snake draft afterwards, with no keeper restrictions. You can keep all 27 if you love your team. But if your team blows, then you can keep very few or even zero. This allows you to draft sooner than any mega teams in your league. first shot at new talent allows you to rebuild faster. We've got 7 guys in league that have all played together before. We get along, compete like crazy, make a million trades, talk friendly smack, post a few pics of hot babes, crack some jokes and otherwise cut-up and have fun. I hope to get 3 more guys from previous years. I've recruited one new person. I'm looking to get to 14 to 16 teams overall. email on yahoo at pepper69fun if interested and we can chat!
27 man roster. 3NA and 3DL. 7 by 7 roto (nothing weird). variable keepers: auction format to establish league. Snake draft next year. Keep all 27 or 0 or anywhere in between. Keeping less allows you to draft earlier and rebuild, if necessary. I've got 7 in league now, all of whom are good guys and play hard. Shooting for 14 to 16. Friendly guys. post a lot. lots of trades. don't need a superstar so much as someone that will be active and have FUN.
27 man roster. 3NA and 3DL. 8 by 8 roto (nothing weird). variable keepers: auction format to establish league. Snake draft next year. Keep all 27 or 0 or anywhere in between. Keeping less allows you to draft earlier and rebuild, if necessary. I've got 7 in league now. Shooting to 14 or 16. Friendly guys. post a lot. lots of trades. don't need a superstar so much as someone that will be active and have FUN.
very active. responds quickly to trade offers. never quits on a team. seeking roto league that has already drafted, but needs a replacement. pepper69fun at yahoo dot com

your email address not working or i'm not understanding it. either way, I am an experienced fantasy manager that has graduated from the entry level public leagues to much deeper dynasty leagues. Current primary league is 20 teams/30 man roster, so depth not intimidating. Team there is pretty stout and I enjoy rebuilding weaker teams, so seeking a 2nd league. All I ask is a reasonably friendly group of coaches and no shady ethical nonsense. Life's too short. If you've got weirdness/hostility going on, please leave me out. but if it is generally a good group of people, then let me know.

in this case, Manager 1 had not placed a claim, so this means other people would have gotten Taveras nor did they even know there was a "negotiation" going on for him. Just felt very shady to me. Especially as the first guy has basically made no moves until jumping in with that one.
Manager 1 emails Manager 2. Manager 2 has top waiver priority. Manager 1 says "if you'll claim Taveras for me, then I'll negotiate a trade to you for Taveras". Waiver claim clears at 3am and they do a trade they have pre-negotiated about 20 minutes later.
Is this unethical or totally fine? If this is unethical, then what should the commish do about it?

If I had a fourth, then it would be.....do the deal you can live with the best. If you've got a major boner for Cargo, then turning the deal down will give you heartburn that you won't escape. life is short. this is still a game. he's charging you a premium cuz he knows you are desperate, but so what? if you have got Craig, then you are still fine at 2B. if you have got SP depth OR the league is shallow, then Lester can be replaced. I play DEEP leagues, so that incremental value really hurts. but your league might be shallow enough that incremental value can be replaced off the wire.
make the deal that makes YOU happiest. heck, maybe it will also work in standings.

random opinions from random fantasy coaches. I guess you take it for what you think it is worth. First, I would not have taken the first trade either. Give me Fielder and Zimm every single. I'd still take that position today. Second, I'd stay with what you currently have. I'm not trading away a decent 2B and a reasonable starter to upgrade from Fielder to Cargo. Price too high and he obviously knows he has you upset and over a barrel. I say...you are getting screwed and eager to bend over. Third, perhaps league settings and your roster issues merits an overpayment for Cargo. Ultimately, that is a call you have to make. but in a vacuum, I sit with what you've got.
