I'd actually look to upgrade your SS position. Package Castro with someone else and upgrade that. Other than that, very solid team with good hitting and good pitching.

I do agree that receiving Harper is a good thing for you. Not a huge fan of Cespedes: good power numbers but with a below BA. Harper has better power projections.

While I think it's a fairly decent trade, I do agree with a poster that mentioned how Tulo's a higher injury risk/as high as an injury risk as Sandoval. While Cain would be giving an upgrade for your starting pitching, I think your offence is already good enough as is with good depth.
I have been offered a counter-trade where I trade Votto to receive Kershaw. This is a public 12-team roto league. My team looks like this:
C - J. Arencibia
1B - J. Votto, P. Fielder, E. Hosmer
2B - C. Utley, M. Carpenter
3B - R. Zimmerman, J. Donaldson, B. Lawrie
SS - J. Rollins
OF - A. Jackson, C. Crisp, W. Myers
SP - Y. Darvish, C. Sabathia, J. Parker, A. Burnett, G. Cole, M. Gonzalez
RP - M. Rivera, J. Benoit, R. Betancourt, J. Henderson, K-Rod
I am ranked 6th out of 12 teams, and I am getting killed in ERA and WHIP, but near the top in R, HR, and Ws; and middle of the pack everywhere else.
I've tried countering with Fielder, but this guy wants Votto more. What do you think? Should I do it?

That's a very good question. Right now, this is how my team looks:
C - S. Stamkos, A. Kopitar, R. Kesler
LW - H. Zetterberg, Z. Parise, S. Hartnell
RW - M. Hossa, S. Gagner, A. Burrows
D - P. Subban, A. Edler, B. Campbell, A. Goligoski, T. Enstrom
G - S. Varlamov, J. Reimer, J. Halak
Most likely Kesler will be dropped and Enstrom will be moved to IR.
I also have a trade in the works, where I am trading Hossa and Reimer for Rinne.
Also, since someone might ask, I traded Lecavalier to get Parise, and picked up Kesler, Enstrom, Reimer and Hartnell of FA throughout the season.
It's a 2-for-1 trade in a standard 5x5 roto league. Would you do this trade to get Thornton and Boyle if your team is already in the top of the league for offence?

No. He posted he was interested in acquiring a LWer or a Cer for Parise, so I offered him Lecavalier and he accepted.
I think Lecavalier can keep it up, especially in a shortened season, but my depth at C I felt allowed me to offer him up.

In a dynasty league, I'd probably go with the Steen/Callahan side.
Steen is what he is: modest points total (40-50pts a year with a positive +/-)
Callahan is what he is: modest points total (40-50pts a year with high Hits and good BLKS)
Burns is what he is: modest points total (20-40pts a year with solid Hits and high BLKS)
Zibanejad is the jewel here. He'll probably replace Spezza in the future, and he'd be a solid scorer. However, I think he won't be an elite offensive player, and he probably won't come around as a productive player until the 2014-15 season...
So due to the fact that Zibanejad isn't an elite talent, and you do still want to win in a dynasty league, so I would go with Steen/Callahan, where you know what you are getting and that production will be there for you in the next couple of years.
Your thoughts on this trade? It's a standard 12team roto league, and I am dealing my C depth in Lecavalier for Parise.
My team, as it stands now, looks like this:
C - S. Stamkos, V. Lecavalier, A. Kopitar, R. Kesler (IR)
LW - M. Lucic, H. Zetterberg, A. Burrows
RW - M. Hossa, V. Tarasenko, S. Gagner
D - A. Edler, B. Campbell, A. Goligoski
G - S. Varlamov, B. Elliot, J. Halak, J. Reimer

I think it's a pretty good deal for both sides. I do like the Rinne side better, because of the inclusion of Bobby Ryan. I had been hoping Stewart will bust out and play like he did in COL, but it hasn't looked good in the early going.
As for my thoughts on Niemi, while I agree that Niemi is more of a Howard type player, everyone knows that the Sharks are always good as a regular season team. Their defence is probably as good as the Preds now, considering their loss of Suter. He will get you the wins, and the difference between GAA and SV% isn't that wide a margin.
I'm in a roto league, and Drummond is available in the FA pool. It's a standard root league, and I'm currently in 2nd place with 73pts. The 1st place team only has 74pts.
My team looks like:
PG - R. Rondo, D. Lillard, J. Wall
SG - O. Mayo, D. DeRozan
SF - A. Kirilenko, M. World Peace, A. Aminu, D. Granger
PF - B. Griffin, T. Thompson, K. Love
C - D. Howard
Love won't be back until mid-to-late March, making Drummond a good replacement until then. 100% sure though that Love will be picked up before then. Should I drop him and pick up Drummond?

I know he does. I could always take him out of the offer. But even then, are Parise and Kane too much for Sedin and Hartnell, especially since we don't use PIMs?
