    Anyone out there?

  • Need some help on this. Below is the time line of what happened. Basically, this guy dropped a player to try and get into playoffs or stay in them, then found out that he was pretty safely in the playoffs based on some late changes by commish.

3/9/15 - commish realizes playoffs are still on 6 teams when they should be on 8. He makes changes and posts message on message boards

3/10/15 - Team A drops Jimmy Butler. Team A is in 7th place, 5 games from 6th. At this time Butler's status was still at best 3 weeks (still is actually) putting his return in the 2nd week of our playoffs.

3/11/15 - news breaks, if you can call it news, that Butler MIGHT be back early. Early as in 2nd week of playoffs still.

3/12/15 - I, Team B AND Commish, pick up Jimmy Butler from waivers. Team A posts on message board that he wants me to return Butler to him. Reason being is that he was trying to make push for a playoff spot thinking there was only 6 in. We voted on 8 and it was approved at start of league but I, commish, failed to change it from 6 to 8 until 3/9. So, he drops a useless Butler for a waiver flier. He then realizes there are 8 teams and he is nearly locked, not 100%, in playoff spot and says it was a mistake. Team A claims had they known there were 8 teams and that their playoff spot was pretty secure, they wouldn't have dropped Jimmy Butler.

So, what do we do? Give Butler back to Team A relying on the fact that up until 2 days before dropping, playoffs were set at 6 still? Or, say it cannot be reversed because there was ample time to see that playoffs were at 8, not to mention league vote at start of season and evidence in existing messages of this fact?
