You loaded pitching early and I don't like that strategy. You can get quality arms later on and its so much harder to get bats later. You can often scour the waiver wire and find guys like Gallardo, Carmona, Shields, just to name a few from last year. I do really like getting Rios in 6 and Furcal in 9 is good too. I think you have to put Santana and/or Peavy on the block and get some bats. Put out trades that are in your favor and hope someone really needs SP. I think if you don't get some bats, you are fighting just to make the playoffs.

I currently have 9 managers that also play in a football and baseball keeper together. This core group is a very good bunch and these leagues have been among the best I have participated in.
The basketball league is going to go with default scoring and we will keep 3 or 4 guys year to year. I will likely also create a homepage for the league on proboards and this has proved to heighten interest in the other leagues.
The draft is this Sat Oct 18 11:30am EDT.
