Commissioner Corner Message Board
lol...but seriously - graham's value now relies mostly on redzone TDs. unless the 'hawks try to pull that superbowl stunt again, lynch will be getting most of the redzone looks. i saw somewhere awhile back that graham will be 75% blocking...so there's that.
and other than 6pt per passing TD, i would sway away from brees.
you really aren't giving a lot of information for a response. but in a 10 team league, shane vereen is extremely droppable. it's a 10 team league - why is there no talent in FA?
don't spend your first round pick on an QB. listen to everyone else and get that elite RB. there's still gonna be the tier 2 QBs that put up consistent fantasy numbers - m.ryan, p.rivers, m.stafford - even russell wilson could fall. if it's a ppr league, i would go bell first and eat the first two games.
thought i replied earlier...but it's showing i didn't.
player's cost doesn't apply after the draft, only going into draft.
it was our first year for auction and keepers, so i got pretty lucky. made a trade for green, drafted-wilson, gronk, cobb, charles, ingram...picked up peterson when he got dropped at the end of the season. and picked up beckham right before he blew up.
after doing some mock drafts with 12 teams instead of 10, the player's cost increases because of the scarcity of the talent.
so now i'm thinking AP and gronk and then trying for another RB1 and/or WR1.
murray and mathews because they'll probably handle early down work, while sproles will be more with third down situations and the passing game. (yes i know murray can catch also).
i've asked this before, but a few variables have changed.
12 team auction ($200), 2 keeper, standard scoring. current keepers keep value going into draft, deducting from your auction money.
gronk - $9
peterson - $57
charles - $63
wilson - $9
beckham - $54 (yahoo average cost)
green - $48
ingram - $1
only reason things are different, is because we're adding a few teams to make it more competitive. problem is, they go into the draft with a full $200. at first i was thinking of keeping gronk and wilson, for a total of $18 and having $182 for the draft, which is pretty solid. i don't wanna overspend on a RB and i think peterson at $57 is just right...
thoughts? opinions? i will help in return...thanks
just re-read what i typed, my mistake. i have him for next year also...which will be his third year. thanks for your advice on the 25% thing.
12 team league - standard. 100 salary, auction draft.
they have 3 year "contracts", since i drafted them last year, i only have them for this year and next year they go back into free agency. if i keep both, i would only have 70 to go towards the draft. BUT...if i just keep evans at 7, i would have 93 for the draft. some of the other managers got about 80-90 to spend and stack their team.
some notable players that will be available in the draft:
you really can't go wrong with bell and dez or brown. but i would go with brown. i'm targeting bell or brown in an off-season trade.
when would you actually be taking him? auction or snake? i'm sure if you're in a snake draft you can spend a late round pick on him and everyone would be like, "oh yea!". in an auction, i doubt someone would spend on him and wait til waivers to take him.
