Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I don't know what these guys below are smoking but Prince Fielder is much better. Slow April but lets not get crazy. Guy has been one of the safest players in MLB over last 10 years! Still just 31 and in his prime too. Don't panic. Any person that knows what they're talking would take Fielder over Peralta. When all is said and done, Fielder should be good for .290+/.365+ with 75+ R, 20-30 HR and 90+ RBI. His ceiling is top 25 and his floor is borderline top 60.
In an 11 team roto keeper league with HR, RBI, R, SB, AVG and OBP as offensive stats and W, K, SV, ERA, WHIP and OBPA as pitching stats.
My OF is pretty stacked. I have Bryce Harper (Keeper), Mookie Betts (K), Dexter Fowler, Odubel Herrera, Brock Holt (who plays SS for me but is OF eligible) and Ben Revere. My staff is pretty nasty as well with Syndergaard, Smyly, Carlos Martinez, Aaron Nola, Jake Odorizzi and Jose Berrios. Also have David Robertson, Joe Smith and Rosenthal as closers and Seung Hawn Oh, Kelvin Herrera and Hunter Stickland as my ratio/K per 9 helping mid relievers.
The question is should I trade Ben Revere for Yu Darvish? Ben Revere will be competing for starts with V-Mart and Odubel Herrera at my UTL spots. Odubel has been really good with a 20.2% walk rate so I could probably afford to let Revere go. Not sure what to do tho. Don't really have a major need in this trade but Darvish could be a monster if he can come back and pick up where he left off before his injury. Thanks for the help.

Are u nuts? Does the word "dynasty" really change things that much? The goal is still to win a championship. Max Scherzer is by far the best pitcher in this deal. Yes Carrasco is a solid pitcher according to analytics and Maeda has been really solid thru 5 starts but Max Scherzer is a borderline top 10 player overall.
Don't get too carried away with the word DYNASTY! It's fantasy baseball and u want to win championships. Alex Reyes projects to be a decent flamethrower with control issues. Lets not get crazy.
11 team roto keeper league with R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG and OBP as offensive stats and W, K, SV, ERA, OBPA and WHIP as pitching stats. Which side would u prefer?
TEAM A GETS- SS Xander Bogaerts
TEAM B GETS- OF Dexter Fowler and SS Brandon Crawford
Team A doesn't really have any solid options at SS with only Brock Holt and Brandon Crawford and Team B has Lindor and Xander Bogaerts but doesn't really have a great OF. Team B has just Yoenis Cespedes, Randall Grichuk, Melvin Upton and Mark Trumbo. Thanks for input.
In an 11 team roto keeper league with HR, RBI, R, SB, AVG and OBP as offensive stats and W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP and OBPA as pitching stats. We keep 5. As of right now I'm in first place by 17 points. Squad is looking pretty nasty even tho I lost Kyle Schwarber who was my 5th keeper. I was offered a pretty solid deal today and thought I'd see what u guys thought. Here it is.
I GET- SS Corey Seager and 1B Joey Votto
I GIVE UP- SP Carlos Martinez, Mid reliever Seung Hwan Oh, 1B Prince Fielder and SS Brandon Crawford
The guy's staff is a wreck. Really don't want to let Seung Hwan Oh because his K/9 has been absolutely absurd so far and batters are only making contact on 52% of pitches that are swung at with him. Having middle relievers like that in leagues with inning cap is HUGE. With that being said tho, I love Corey Seager and think he can be a keeper for me for a long time. Letting Martinez and Hwan Oh go for an upgrade at SS and 1B is pretty legit. What do u guys think??? Appreciate the input!

Are u taking into consideration how shallow SS is? Corey Seager is an elite elite prospect at the shallowest of positions. I don't know if I'm going to do it but I can't believe how everyone thinks its so insane.
About "teams that give up best player always lose trade" comment. Last year I gave up Jose Abreu for David Robertson, Andrew Miller and Ben Revere. Looks awful on surface in keeper league but at the time I was in 2nd place and those points I picked up in saves and SB were what put me over the top to win it all. Person who wins championship wins trade! Not person who gives up best player.

Corey Seager would lock down my SS position for the next decade and I think his HR/SB total won't be that much worse than Mookie. Yes Mookie will likely have 20+ more runs but Seager is going to be an elite guy for a long time. Plus as of now, my OF is stacked with Bryce Harper/Alex Gordon/Mookie/Dexter Fowler/Ben Revere/Jay Bruce and my SS position is Brock Holt. I know Mookie is a stud but at some point this year, I think Seager will be seen as an untouchable asset in my league. Just think now would be the time! I had an opportunity to trade Chapman for Correa in early June last year and declined it. That looked ridiculous at the time! Now I'm kicking myself.
I'm in a 11 team roto keeper league with HR, RBI, SB, R, AVG and obp as offensive stats and W, SV, K, ERA, OBPA and WHIP as pitching stats. I was offered....
I GET- 1B Anthony Rizzo and 1B/3B Justin Turner
I GIVE UP- 3B Josh Donaldson and 1B Carlos Santana
I already have Princo Fielder at 1rst base but I do this this deal makes my team better. I think Rizzo is going to be a beast for a long time in that Cubs lineup. Thanks for the input!!

My lineup is
SF- G- Hayward
PF- Boogey Cousins
C- Nerlens Noel
UTL- Karl Anthony Towns
UTL- Will Barton
UTL- Taj Gibson
UTL Mario Chalmers
UTL Donald Sloan
BEN- Tony Allen, D-Rose, D'Angelo Russell, DeMarre Carroll and Patrick Beverly
I have a 10/10 in FG%, 4/10 in FT% (but my FT% has gone up 14% since I traded Drummond for Noel in early December), 9/10 in 3PTM, 10/10 in PTS, 10/10 in REB, 2/10 in AST, 5/10 in STL, 5/10 in BLK and 3/10 in TO.
Taj has some increased value once again with Noah going down. I might be able to cruise along without doing this deal. Rondo's TO, FG% and FT% scares me. I think i should wait until a better offer comes along even tho I really love Rudy Gobert. I almost kept him this year over Klay and I think his upside is huge. I think he could be a solid 14-12-3 guy for the rest of season.

All 3 of the offers are ok IF Davis does indeed get shut down. IF he doesn't, it will be a big mistake to trade him. I really don't see the Pelicans shutting him down tho. Unless something serious happens. If I was going to take one of those offers, I'd rank them like...
1. Oladipo and Vucevic
3. Dirk and Vucevic
So im in a 10 team, 9 cat roto keeper league where we keep 3. My keepers are Boogey Cousins, Klay and Steph Curry. My squad is VERY top heavy and don't have any good options for my starting lineup after my top 7 guys which is leaving me with 3 bums in my lineup nightly. Even with this, I'm just 2 points out of first because my top 7 is insane. I was originally trying to trade Curry but couldn't agree on fair compensation so I moved to DeMarcus Cousins. Here's the offer I received.
I GET- Rajon Rondo, Rudy Gobert and either Andrew Wiggins or the iffy Tyreke Evans with knee problems
I give up- DeMarcus Cousins
This trade is solid because I really need AST and BLKS. Plus my keepers next year could still be Klay, Curry and Karl Anthony Towns. Not much of a downgrade if u ask me. What do u think?? I was also offered Jimmy Butler for DeMarcus Cousins straight up. It's not bad but I don't think Klay would pull as much as Boogey on the open market. Thanks for help! I appreciate your input.

Ya it's a really brutal situation to be in. I'm right there but don't think I'll be able to pull ahead with only 7 quality starters. I've been in the league since 2008 and REALLY want to win. I've finished 2nd 4 times and 3rd once. I don't think I'm going to take one of those offers tho. I thought long and hard and figured having Curry as a keeper will keep my chances high for the next 5 years. If I can't find a stud on waiver wire, I'll just hope I can have better luck in late rounds next year.
It really kills me that I dropped Kent Bazemore and Jae Crowder. They're both killing it now and would have really helped me.
The offer I got from this other guy is pretty interesting as well. It is
I GET- Kawhi Leonard, Kent Bazemore and either Reggie Jackson or The Greek aka Antetokounmpo
I GIVE UP- Curry
At least in this deal, I'll be getting a young stud keeper in Kawhi who will remain in top 5 for years as well. My other option is to just trade Klay Thompson and keep Karl Anthony Towns next year. Im sure I could get 3 solid top 80 guys for Klay and it wouldn't really effect my keeper squad at all.
So I'm in a 10 team 9 category roto keeper league where we keep 3 and have found myself in a pretty unique situation. I've had depth problems all year long and just lost Jarrett Jack for the year last week so now I REALLY have some serious depth problems. At the moment, I have about 7 guys that are starter material. All of those guys happen to be MONEY but have no1 to fill my 8th, 9th and 10th UTL starter spots. My roster is
PG- Curry (keeper)
SG- Klay Thompson (keeper)
SF- Gordon Hayward
PF- DeMarcus Cousins (keeper)
C- Nerlens Noel
UTL- Karl Anthony Towns
UTL- Will Barton
(now is where it gets ugly)
UTL- Patrick Beverly
UTL- Taj Gibson (Noah is back now which makes his bench material)
Bench- TJ Warrne, DeMarre CarrolL (injured), D'Angelo Russell, Derrick Rose, Aaron Gordon, Donald Sloan
With that super top heavy team with no quality options at the 8, 9 and 10 spots, I still have 59 points and am just 2 points out of first place. Should I remain patient and hope I find some waiver wire gems or should I trade one of my studs for depth?? I recently received an offer from one of the managers that is out of it and looking to rebuild for next year. The offers I received are-
I GIVE UP- Stephen Curry
I GET- LeBron James, Ricky Rubio and Danillo Galinari
I GIVE UP- Stephen Curry
I GET- LeBron James and Paul Millsap
I GIVE UP-Stephen Curry
I GET- Lebron James, CJ McCollum and Ricky Rubio
I GIVE UP- Stephen Curry
I GET- Lebron James, CJ McCollum and Danilo Galinari
I have a 10/10 in FG%, 3/10 in FT% (but I traded Drummond for Noel in early December and it has improved 10% in last 30 days), 9/10 in 3PTM, 10/10 in PTS, 10/10 in REB, 3/10 in AST, 5/10 in STL, 8/10 in BLK and 3/10 in TO. I feel like all of those deals will make my team a lot better this year but Curry is so valuable. Its a tough call. Ive been in league since 2007 and have finished 2nd a bunch but never won. I am desperate! Please help me!

I decided to go with
I GET- Kawhi, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jusuf Nurkic
I GIVE UP- Curry and 2 throw ins who were my worst 2 players on my roster.
I figured with Curry gone, I might as well just punt assists and try to win TO's now that I don't have his 4 TO per game on the books. I have a 3 in AST and a 3 in TO with Curry so I do have a lot of ground to gain in both. TO's is a lot closer. I'm 65 TO's away from 5 points. Plus Kawhi and the Greek don't turn the ball over at all. After doing the math and breaking this down, I do think this deal will get more points than the Reggie Jackson offer because of how valuable Kawhi/Greek are in defensive stats. This deal should get me about 6 or 7 extra points which should put me in 1rst. The guy in first also just lose Eric Bledsoe for 2 months which is a killer!! Kawhi will be an elite keeper for a long long time. I don't think my keeper squad took too much of a hit on this one.
- killa croc killa croc Dec 28, 2015 1:08 AM Flag
I'd do it. The 2 replacements along with Durant who is probably the 2nd best player will be better than KAT, Horford and Marvin. U will be better when all is said and done.
- killa croc killa croc Dec 27, 2015 11:53 PM Flag
Karl Anthony Towns is so much better. I don't think it's even close. He's 2 years removed from high school and dominating. His upside is through the roof. He could be in discussion for 1rst overall pick in 2 or 3 years in fantasy basketball.
So I'm in an 10 team 9 category roto keeper league. My squad is
PG- Steph Curry KEEPER
SG- Klay Thompson KEEPER
SF- G. Hayward
PF- Demarcus Cousins KEEPER
C- KArl Anthony Towns
UTL- Nerlens Noel
UTL- Will Barton
UTL- Jarrett Jack
UTL- DeMarre Carroll
UTL- Bismack Byombo
Bench-Booby Portis, D-Rose, D'Angelo Russell, Taj Gibson, Dennis Schroder, Raymond Felton
So I've been having a lot of trouble filling my starting lineup. My top 7 or 8 is pretty nasty but just don't have a lot of depth. I have been talking to this guy who is pretty much out of it barring a miracle and might trade Steph Curry to got after a ring. I've been in this league since 2008 and have finished 2nd like 4 times. I REALLY want to win!! Here's the deal.
I GET- Kawhi Leonard, Reggie Jackson and Jusuf Nurkic
I GIVE- Steph Curry, Dennis Shroder and Felton
I GET- Kawhi Leonard, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jusuf Nurkic
I GIVE- Steph Curry, Shroder and Felton
I need assists so I think the Jackson deal might be a little bit better. Having Kawhi Leonard, Boogie Cousins and either Towns or Klay as my 3 keepers next year would still be really nasty. What do u think? Should I give up the best player in world for that package?
