Draft and Trade Talk Message Board

Well I've passed all the people I could pass. Theres a couple people that are just way ahead of the pack in SB's and Im not going to catch them.
I'm really surprised to see people thinking this is a slam dunk in Hanley's favor. 20/20 SS vs middle infielder with insane speed and solid AVG/OBP. Dee Gordon is really valuable. 70-80 SB from a 2B is invaluable.
I'm in an 11 team roto keeper league with the typical 5x5 stats but with OBP and OBPA.
I have Dee Gordon but his SB's aren't really helping me. Hanley and his AVG/OBP would help me more. Should I pull the trigger on this deal??

Whip is essentially the same as OBPA just in a different form but we didn't want pitchers to be worth significantly less than hitters so we decided to add OBPA so there would be 6 offensive stats and 6 pitching stats. The other pitching stat options were stupid things like quality starts and #$%$.

Yeah the more I broke it down, I came to pretty much the same conclusion as u. Milk comment cracked me up too. I ended up trading Cole Hamels for Michael Brantley.

I think Hamilton is a top 15-20 for sure as long as he can continue to keep his average up. I'm not 100% sure that he can just yet but he's look really for the last 2.5 months. Him and Dee Gordon are both locks to be top 40 but both could end up finishing the year as top 5 guys because their steals are so valuable.

I think it's a great deal for u. Cano isn't putting up huge stats like he used to and Price has been unreal lately. Plus Duda is a nice source of power and walks a lot. Chisenhall is overrated and I'm not quite sure if Yordano is reliable just yet. I actually just dropped him in my 11 team roto league last week.
Do the deal. A nice ace in H2H league is invaluable.
I was offered Hanley for Wainwright in a 11 team roto keeper league where we keep 5 guys and the stats are W, K, SV, ERA, WHIP and OBPA for pitchers and HR, RBI, SB, R, AVG and OBP for hitters.
I have Cole Hamels, Garrett Richards, Jake Arrieta and Alex Wood as my other SP's but I also deploy a bunch of middle relievers in Wade Davis, Dellin Betances and Andrew Miller which combined are pretty much like Sandy Koufax in his prime. I also have Doolittle, Cody Allen, Jake McGee and Addison Reed as closers. I'm (+27) innings over the 1425 inning cap and have 57 pitching points which is 9 points away from winning every category.
I have Ben Zobrist and Dee Gordon who are SS eligible but Hanley would be a huge upgrade over Zobrist and would help me a lot. Plus Zobrist could be a backup or fill a UTL spot. Should I do it??

3. Sale (but his mechanics are violent and it worries me)
4. Alex Cobb
5. Homer Bailey
6 but isn't on the same level as the other guys Shelby
Who wins this deal in an 11 team roto keeper league with the typical 5x5 stats but with OBP and OBPA??
TEAM A GETs- Joey Votto and Grant Balfour
TEAM B GETS- Jason Kipnis and Glen Perkins

He's one of 2 guys in the league that doesn't have #$%$ One of the guys has a TON of SB's and needs HR's so he's content using Jhonny Peralta.
I'm in an 11 team roto keeper league where u keep 5 guys and the categories are HR, RBI, SB, R, AVG, OBP, W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP and OBPA.
My team is-
1B- Jose Abreu
3B- Edwin Encarnacion
SS- Xander Bogaerts
OF- Cespedes, Springer, Alex Gordon
UTL- Adam Lind, Eric Hosmer
BEN- Jean Segura, Khris Davis, Corey Dickerson
DL- Joey Votto
SP- Cole Hamels
RP- Sean Doolittle
RP- Addisson Reed
P- Wade Davis
P- Dellin Betances
P- Grant Balfour
P- Bryan Shaw
BEN- Yordano Ventura, Nathan Eovaldi, Collin McHugh and Jesse Chavez
I'm 19 points out of first place and need to move Segura. I'm all in on Xander Bogaerts. His OBP is great and he is hitting 2nd in what should or at least could be a great Boston offense.
Would I be dumb to deal Segura for
A. Brett Gardner
B. Garrett Richards
C. Mike Minor
And who do u think is the best?

Amazing how locked in he is. 13 HR since May 5th and that's after the worst April ever. Edwin can flat out mash baseballs and people dont give him enough respect.
11 team roto keeper league with R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG and OBP as offensive stats and W, ERA, WHIP, OBPA, SV and K as pitching stats. Who wins this trade?
TEAM A GETS- Hanley Ramirez and Gregory Polanco
TEAM B GETS- Jean Segura, Addisson Reed and Grant Balfour

If your OF will be that bad in a 20 team league, I'd keep Cespedes. Cespedes had a sophomore slump but is a beast. I'm expecting big things this year from him. He could be a 30 HR, 10-15 SB guy.

I thought u were trading for Beltre. Ya I like the deal for u. I really think Longoria is due for a breakout year. He has the skills to hit 40+ and I think this will be the year. Wil Myers and Zobrist hitting in front of him will give him lots of RBI opportunities and I expect Desmond Jennings will eventually move up to leadoff. Thats a pretty nice 1-2-3 for Longo to hit behind. I'm projecting
.285/.361 35-40 HR, 100+ RBI, 85+ R and like 5 SB. He hasn't quite put it all together yet and I think his age 28 season is the time.
