Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I'm in an 11 team roto keeper league where we keep 5. The offensive stats we use are R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG and OBP. I absolutely love Michael Brantley but I do have 3 OF keepers in Dickerson and Springer so that's not completely ideal. So here's the trade.
I get- SS eligible Hanley Ramirez or Robinson Cano
I give up- OF Michael Brantley
Clearly Michael Brantley was better than both of them by a LARGE margin last year but they are both eligible at thinner positions (especially Hanley). 2B is a little deeper than it has been in years but I think the Mariners are better this year and that should help Cano's counting stats. Brantley was an absolute beast last year and is just entering his prime tho. 23 SB in 24 attempts should give him the green light more often this year than last and I would bet he gets over 30 SB.
So what should I do? Do I make the trade? And which guy do u prefer? I could also get Josh Donaldson but I think I prefer one of the middle infielders. It's such a tough call. Brantley was the 3rd best offensive player last year and was a beast in all six of my leagues categories.

Polanco is the better player. Polanco has insane speed and power. I'd definitely target him long before Pederson.
Im in an 11 team keeper league and my keepers are Brantley, Dickerson, Springer, Jose Abreu and Edwin Encarnacion. It's not ideal to have 2 1B and 3 OF keepers considering how deep OF is and the fact that one of my keepers are taking up 1 of my 2 UTL spots. I tried to get Scherzer, Sale and Strasburg for Brantley and didn't get a bite. Should I pull the trigger on Kluber for Brantley?? It does put me in a better spot for draft leaving me with the ability to fill my 3rd OF spot a lot easier than my #1 SP spot.
Thanks for help!

Doesn't matter. If Beltre is available, u take him. Arenado is good but it's not close in my opinion. Yes he's a breakout candidate but Beltre is a proven stud.

Keeping Posey over Puig???????? Wow that could be a move that makes watching sportcenter pretty tough u on this year.

U go after Beltre. If u are drafting Arenado where Beltre is going, u are taking ALL of the upside out of the pick. Arenado is a 6th or 7th round pick.

16 W, 250 K, 3.00 ERA, 1.15 whip. The guy brings it and he's one of the best K guys in MLB. Plus his curveball is an all time great.

U also tore him up for no reason. Judging someone based on depth in mid March is not just ridiculous but flat out #$%$ status. I havent had my draft yet but I know, personally, I don't really worry about landing a backup at every position. Once my lineup is set, I usually just got after best players available or the players with most upside.

That's the dumbest offer EVER. Having Trout in a keeper league is INVALUABLE. For me to trade him, I'd need Cutch, Abreu, Goldy, Miggy, Stanton and something else. This offer isn't #$%$.

I think there's a chance it could get done straight up. Goldy is a stud but Cabrera is one of the greatest hitters of all time. Cabrera's "down year" last year was still incredible. I don't see him slowing down any time soon. I think he's still a top 5 player. If I were u, I'd wait until people remember how incredible he is. Trade him in May.
If u really want to get it done now and HAVE to give up a 2nd player, I would try to do
U get- Goldy and Kris Bryant
U give up- Cespedes and Cabrera
I'd definitely be trying to get rid of Cespedes somehow. Maybe Cespedes for Yellich or Cespedes for Pineda on back end. One of those. Cespedes is still a big name but I don't like him AT ALL. Think he's overrated. My verdict would be wait for Cabrera to have a hot streak in April or May and then trade him tho.

This is like the worst team I've ever seen. SS's I'd try to get are Andrelton or maybe try to get what u can for Wainwright, Lucroy and Cespedes. Those 3 players are overrated.

Yellich is safe and great in OBP league but I absolutely love Betts this year. 2B eligible and should be leadoff in Boston. There's no way Betts doesn't steal at least 40 bags this year. I could see him having an Altuve like breakout. He's a very patient hitter and will be on base a ton. I expect a .280/.360, 90+ R, 10-20 HR and 40-60 SB.

Dickerson FOR SURE. The guy is extremely underrated which says a lot because most people do have him ranked in the top 40. I think he can be top 20 with a full season at altitude. I really think he could be a solid 30/10-15 guy with a great AVG/OBP.
