Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
keep 5 for up to 4 years (this would be my first year keeping everyone) for your 1st 5 rounds of the draft picks. espn standard roto (so 5 outfielders, addl corner and middle infielder and 9 pitchers among the differences with yahoo standard). i currently have mccutch, machado, pollock, rizzo, abreu, gordon, c. seager among my choices for 5 keepers. would you guys trade mccutch/machado/rizzo for trout/frazier, which would let me end up keeping trout, pollock, gordon, frazier, and abreu.
This is in ESPN league, so we do have an additional corner infielder (and an additional middle infielder, and 5 outfielders, if that makes a difference).
I'm kind of surprised so many people like pollock. Maybe i will keep him.
Just out of curiosity, what order do you have these guys ranked just for 2016? We can keep them for 4 years, but I'm mainly concerned for 1 year at a time.
thanks to everyone earlier. i did end up making some trades and am in first by a little bit. just thought i'd update and see which 5 everyone would keep now between:
rizzo, machado, correa, abreu, mccutch, pollock, dee gordon, and sano.
i'm leaning the 1st 5 i listed right now.
thanks for the input everyone. i'm trying to figure out who to trade, while making sure i still have my best 5 keepers. i'm in 2nd, and trying to make a push for the championship without crippling my keepers too much.
I'm in a 10 team 2 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 te PPR league. Which 2 should I keep between:
Luck, CJ Anderson, Demariyus, Megatron, Gronk
I'm leaning Luck and Demariyus right now. Any input would be appreciated.
thanks guys. looks like 4 of the 5 seem pretty set in gomez, jones, donaldson, and springer. gonna have to decide between a pitcher in price/kluber or steals with hamilton (because i like the idea of pairing up hamilton and drafting someone like gordon).
10 team standard 5x5 roto (with 5 outfield spots). can keep up to 5 players for 4 years (counts as your first 5 draft picks, and this would be year 1 for all keepers). which 5 would you keep from:
my preference is to keep #$%$ but any input is appreciated. right now, leaning gomez, jones, hamilton, springer, and donaldson.
no, espn's ranking does not factor in 2 catcher or obp. it's just a standard ranking. but, maybe one factor that pushes stanton up a bit in espn, is their standard league starts 5 outfielders vs yahoo only starting 3.
anyways, i think its close. and i haven't been playing fantasy baseball long enough to know how good guys like kingman, deer, etc are. but, lets not get carried away. stanton, if healthy, is a 40 hr threat, and should be ranked right up there with encarnacion. the increase in his keeper rank is most likely due to his young age.
unless its a dynasty or you keep a big number, that makes no sense. if you're in 6th place or less near the end of the year, why not just tank and bench your players the rest of the year to get a better pick next year. which in turn would have a very negative effect on the championship race.
quit telling people to post their entire roster. it's pointless. none of the other guys on my roster are worth keeping over the 6 guys i posted.
and i'm interested to hear which 2 guys you think are NOT keepers. there's not too much info out there for 2014/keeper rankings. espn has a keeper ranking which lists:
but, i'd rather play more for 2014, and use a 2014 ranking rather than a keeper ranking.
in one of my leagues, we go in order of finish. 1st gets 1st pick, 2nd gets 2nd, etc. that way, it gives you a reason to keep playing at the end of the year if you want a higher draft pick.
which 4 to keep in a 10 team standard roto (can keep forever with no penalties, just goes in place of your 1st 4 draft picks):
right now, i'm leaning trout, votto, stanton, and darvish. any help would be appreciated. gotta lock in the final keepers by 9/30.
