Commissioner Corner Message Board
thanks for the offers so far but looking for dynasty and not keeper status leagues-want a league that keeps at least 1/2 of roster and preferably an offline rookie draft.. yahoo only.
i'm looking to take over dead teams (got 2 openings). i'll look at all dynasty formats except for a long drawn out offline draft that goes for rd after rd throughout the summer. don't have time for that any longer. also commish needs to be experienced and know his/her stuff. I've played fantasy sports for a couple decades and will stay no matter what the team's record is provided the league's ethical as well as the commish.
send detailed info on the league and team to this email: qbeatindirt_ffl at yahoo

i've been involved several different ways as a commish and from that standpoint the easiest way to do it for a commish is to do it on the league msg board. start the league before the draft and once a pick is posted on the board, the drafting manager adds the player to his team. that way the commish doesn't have to bother with loading all the draft picks on the league site which can be a headache. also it will immediately show available players, their rankings, news about the players, etc. being in your backyard it ought to be easy to monitor also. gl!
looks like some good advice...mainly to get some young guns. trading brady/green for 1st rd pick wasn't worth it in a dynasty league. gl!

I tried to find how by going in leagues and it's not there. lesson learned and I know that's not what you wanted to hear: don't assume yahoo will do anything you absolutely need in order to run your league. always keep files yourself. looks like you're going to have to start that rule this season and keep track over the season yourself. gl!
how many players do you keep? i'm assuming you traded away your rd 1 pick this season? is this a ppr league? that would make answering your ?? easier. you do need a future qb but I wonder who'll be on the board after rd 1?
answered in another thread but will repeat my answer here. no with yahoo's settings. but you can do it manually. start with the roto as you suggested and afterwards you set up and post h2h matchups and run it from the message board. that's the only way it can be done or vice versa. start with h2h and then go to roto. lots of custom leagues have some manual aspect of them. just more work for the commish. steve does have a good idea of 2 leagues but that will leave everyone with 1 less league they can sign on for. gl!
sah is correct IF you were designated the commish before yahoo disabled the leagues for the season . if not, it gets a bit more complicated. 1. last year's commish is the one who can renew the league so that person can renew, you join and then that commish put you as commish. this way, all info from last year will be available to you and the easiest way to do this. 2. if last year's commish for some reason isn't going to play or not interested in renewing the league to make you commish, then you'll need to capture the settings, members, etc from last season and import that info to a new league. hope my answer wasn't too complicated or long. gl!

you can access old football pages 2 ways: 1 is to go to your profile and click your league link. 2 is to go to yahoo main fantasy football page. this page will show your leagues from last season with a link. click. both options will direct you to your league last season. gl!
it's worth it. try to get those with experience in that format for the smoothest ride creating a new league. then you can customize your settings, set up your rules (do that on paper before the draft!!), etc. gl!
you have to wait until yahoo opens the season. then look at the main page and it'll ask you if you want to renew your league. then do so.
