it's not worth worrying over and not THAT slanted. trades are not always "fair" by ranking status but sometimes managers need certain positions or crazier want a homer regardless.
in leagues i play in and/or run, as long as 2 consenting managers want to do a trade and it's not collusion, then let it go through. i think your league is a bit tight imho for the veto. gl getting any trades in this league it seems!

good questions that have been used in the past but other managers didn't like those settings:
1. why have bench spots?? you can be lazy and not have to add players from your team if one goes down. makes life simpler. this is a very laid back format, but competitive, especially good for those who usually play in dozen leagues or so like me...
2. why not have another qb,etc??? used to do that and the league felt it wasn't much strategy or management skills involved which i agree. takes some brain power to figure out matchups, etc.
3. why no ind d spots? as i mentioned this league is just as simple as can be to appeal to those new to the game or those who already in multiple leagues.
we have 7 more spots to fill league. h2h for the 1st time so should get interesting.
