unless you have an elite catcher, and montero is probably the last of maybe 5 or 6, you are better off chasing at bats. to this end you can either carry 2 catchers, or grab a guy like jeff clement, who is eligible at C but is the everyday 1b for the pirates. you really have to stay on top of your lineup everyday if you are dealing with napoli, b molina, etc. if not you will finish the season 30 games short of your max games.
