Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
by replying i realise i give credence to this post but it has to be stated that you, Jeffrey Scott, no matter what Richard Strong may or may not have said in the past, are an imbecile. You are a hypocrite by posting what you have posted. I couldn't give two sheets whether Rich Strong posted or didnt post today (and this is coming from someone who likes his posts/some of his advice). Some of his advice is to my liking, some isn't. At the end of the day I make my decisions so if he gives out #$%$ advice, I don't have to take it! Some of his posta are quite funny to b honest. You clearly have issues thought, because to create a post in his name, shows that you have been noticing his lack of posts today, and that you miss him. Weird. Like I said, you are an imbecile. And by the way, I'm not new on these boards :) happy gaming.
i dont think my hitting is a mess, except for 2b which is a weak position anyway. obviously i do need to get a backup SS, which i will get once J Fernandez has been moved to DL.
What i'm most worried about is the large number of guys who are coming back from injury (Harvey, Tanaka, Tulo, Stanton, Jose Fernandez), and guys who are injry prone or needing surgery (Tulo, Tanaka). That's why i said its a risky team.
I actually just dropped Baez for Lawrie for my 2b position. There aren't a ton of SS positions left, so i would probably grudgingly add once i DL Jose F. I avoided Saves for that exact reason, but I also figure that between Betnaces and Miller, one of them will get a few saves along the way.
he is not the real deal, FAR from it. The jays probably rushed him up too quick, he hasn't learnt how to hit. We had been hearing about his name for years, but all he is is a speedster who can't get on base. A cheaper version of Hamilton. But hey, at least we got Devon Travis for him!

what was your number one pick? can you list your team in terms of what pick and round they went in? its not a bad team although i think your pitchers lack the big names...which is fine becasue pitching is deep. not bad. your whole team is a bunch of guys who do most things well, bt not excellent. although why you own Harang is beyond me!
i admit i have taken a ton of risks, but that's just more reflective of my personality...
10 team, 7x7, including holds, batter Ks, SBs, OBP, QS and Ws. everything else is standard stats.
C - Mesoraco
1B - Chris Davis
2B - Lawrie
3B - Arenado
SS - Tulowitzki
OF - Stanton, JD Martinez, Marte
Util - Duda, Melky Cabrera
Bench - Morneau, Choo, Pompey
SP - Cueto, Harvey, Tanaka, McHugh, Alvarez, Jose Fernandez
RP - Betances, A. Miller, W. Davis, Boxberger
I think your hitting bench needs some help - i'm not sure you shoud carry a backup C nor a backup 2B. You could drop Ramos and get a better hitter, and you should TRADE pedroia. You're SP is pretty good, I'd try to add another SP using one of your hitting bench spots. Otherwise, solid OF, Solid IF and i like Heyward as a bounceback candidate with the CArdinals
thanks Dennis - i haven't intentially punted SVs, I beleive between Betances and Miller, they should get the bulk of the save opportunities. I really didn't want Mesoraco either, I made a mistake drafting him. Hopefully he doesn't live up to your/my expectations!
Dee Gordon is already gone, at this point i'm thinking about Semien from the As or Micah Johnson from the White Sox who looks to have locked down the 2B spot. Do you have any thoughts about those guys? i REALLY DONT WANT LAWRIE - I had initially drafted Baez but his spring training numbers and last season's K numbers scared me.
a really really good draft imo. i don't have any criticisms. except that i noticed you've punted holds. you could easily drop beltran for a bullpen arm.
Hi, I drafted 4th overall in a 6x6 H2H 10 team keeper (keep 6). I would be leaning towards keeping Sale, J. Fernandez, Harvey, Stanton, Marte and either Polanco or Carter. I'm not sure about having 3 pitching keepers, is that wrong?
H: H, R, RBI, SB, OPS, XBH
P: W, K, ERA, WHIP, QS, SV+H
2B - Dozier
3B - Donaldson
SS - D. Santana
IF - Carter
LF - Marte
CF - Pollock
RF - Stanton
OF - Polanco
Util - Morneau
Bench: Napoli, Span, Khris Davis, Jennings
SP - Sale, Harvey
RP - W. Davis, Tony Watson
P - Boxberger, Arrieta, Cashner, J. Fernandez
Bench - Homer Bailey
this is slightly controverisal but i would try to trade one of your keepers - Encarnacion. I am a jays fan, but his quad injury last year, mixed in with his sore back this spring isn't great. The jays say that they are planning on playing him at1B more frequently than last year, but that will probably change with Smoak in the picture- EE will be given time at DH which should help him avoid injuries. But i would trade him soon regardless.
looks like alot of people are giving you some top grades. I agree. But i'm going to critique your choice of Hanley and Jose. Hanley still has SS eligibility right? so why did you not just plug him in the SS spot and draft someone else instead of Reyes?
Carlos Santana's value has been eroded SEVERELY by u drafting Gattis. Its probably not too late if you drafted Gattis late, which it looks like you did. I would drop him immediately - I'm not sure what your position eligibility is like, but maybe for a 3B.
