Draft and Trade Talk Message Board

I was actually thinking of posting a similar message. I have him on my team as well. My big weakness right now is average, but I think my team will come around on that. So not really sure I'm going to make him available. Anyone have an opinion on what his value would be?
Do you guys think this team will start hitting for a semi decent avg? right now they are hitting .250 collectively. Think I should try and add more avg?
C Miguel Montero

2B José Altuve
3B Edwin Encarnación

right now I am beyond dead last in Avg. its a 13 team keeper league with two keepers from the round prior to their last years draft position. First year of the keeper league aspect. I'm currently in 5th and about 9 points out of 3rd and 25 out of 1st.
Any thoughts as to if I should trade a couple peices, and who i might target with said pieces or should I just stand pat and hope they start playing like they're supposed to?
This is my current lineup

I think Boston sucks. and I'm from here and a die hard new england fan. But I trust Sanchez over Boston personally. He could get rocked. But I'm starting him. My pitching staff can handle a bad loss. If yours can't and you don't want to risk it then just sit him.

I'm personally starting Sanchez in my own league tonight...it was only a blister that had him on the DL, so I'm not super concerned...

I didn't watch it, but the line looks alright. 2 Ks a save and only a single. How'd he actually look?
I picked him up a couple days ago, but don't actually have room in my pitchers slots for him. Probably gonna trade a closer at some point...
He wants to give me Cano, Marte, and Kuroda
and I give up Cruz Alutuve, and Greinke
its a 10x10 13 team roto league. Whip Quality starts Complete games K/BB Doubles Triples Net Stolen Bases OPS are some of the additional categories...
This trade is bad right? or am I crazy?
The one category I could use some help in is Avg. Other than that I'm sitting in 4th place only 5 points out of 2nd and 15 out of first.
Anyone know why there is a discrepancy between the stattrackers total points and my leagues front page? Like it says I have 157.5 points on my league page but 156.5 on the stattracker. Obviously there is a difference in a stat somewhere but I feel like this always happens, so which is the correct one?

So in a 5 category league(standard) You'll take the 2 categories to the 3?
Not only that but at best they will be close to tied in those two categories. I'm sure I can find a spot for you in my money league. We are always looking for free money...

You state in another post that its your first year doing fantasy and you sounded semi sincere and humble in that post, then you come into this one with a cocky attitude. Teixiaras value will be no where near Goldschmidts by years end. Goldy will have a higher avg(by at least 40 points, higher SB(by at least 15) and probably a few more runs and RBIs. On top of all of that Teixiara hasn't played a full season since 2011, nor has he hit above .260 since 2009. I can't believe you would even compare the two.

About a week ago I trade Carlos Santana and Alex Cobb for him...His avg since coming to my team has been .244, I think he'll turn it around and at least hit .280-.290 by seasons end, and the way santana is still playing I feel like I basically gave up Cobb for him. Which I am more than comfortable with. If thats any help...

Cruz Ranks 2nd in HRs , tied for 4th in RBIs 11th most Runs, His .896 OPS, while ranked 51st overall, is still pretty solid. How is he not one of the better hitters in the league right now? What is funny about that.
- Will W Will W May 15, 2014 6:07 PM Flag
Cruz is ranked 16th currently by yahoos standards,I don't personally have him there, but he's definatly playing solid. He has an 896 OPS with 11 HR and 33 RBI
Yes there are better players but he's still playing pretty solid. And Chris Davis, I said SHOULD BE. Not is...I still have faith he will have a decent line at the end of the year with 30-40 HRs...

Its not necessarily irrelevant. If he drafted him in round 18 and can keep him there than you have great value if he keeps pitching the way he's pitching. I don't think hes pitching above his head. He was supposed to be good. But if you don't think he can keep it up or even close to what he's doing than I guess it doesn't matter. I drafted him in the 18th round in my league with the idea that he could be a keeper.

I think my concern stems from me owning Nelson Cruz(who has been nasty this year) and Chris Davis(who should be nasty)...If I didn't own them I probably wouldn't have even questioned it...
