Who to Start Message Board
The free agent pool is fully open, but you may only add/drop players on the teams you have chosen. Max of five adds per week to keep from excessively streaming starters. Also - if a player from a team you selected gets traded in real life, you're SOL.

I need 6 managers to fill out a H2H league. The twist? You draft MLB teams instead of players, and can only fill your roster with the players from the teams you've selected. I've run this style league a few times in the past and it's always a blast. Categories are AVG, OPS, 2B, HR, R, SB and RBI for hitters and W, SV, ERA, WHIP, K, K/9 and QS for pitchers.
I just completed a deal of -
I still have both Upton bros and Matt Holliday in my OF, and this would be a major upgrade at SS. Is this a good deal for me?
Holds and OPS are also counted as well as the regular 5x5. It's a 12-team H2H
C - Jesus Montero (Ryan Doumit for now)
1B - Pablo Sandoval
2B - Michael Cuddyer
3B - Evan Longoria
SS - Jimmy Rollins
OF - Justin Upton
OF - B.J. Upton
OF - Corey Hart
Util - Brennen Boesch
SP - Cole Hamels
SP - C.J. Wilson
SP - Gio Gonzalez
SP - Ervin Santana
RP - Jordan Walden
RP - Sergio Santos
RP - Mike Adams
BN - Johan Santana
BN - Jeremy Hellickson
BN - Erik Bedard
BN - Kenley Jansen
I'd say it's pretty good. power, speed, lots of Ks. I'll probably have to punt BA every week but everything else looks fine. Thoughts?
I love Jered Weeaver, but team A is getting HOSED. A is giving up 3 EXCELLENT players and one decent starter for a top-5 starter, a mid-to-upper tier closer and a couple of bums.
So, in this league, we have a 3-round offline draft in which managers select MLB teams. Once each manager has 3 teams, we all fill out our rosters with ONLY players from the 3 teams we've selected. During the season, teams can ONLY add/drop players from the teams they own. Trading is allowed, but it has not be with whole MLB teams.
In the event of in-season real life trades, (say you draft the Mets and David Wright gets dealt) then you're team loses that player and whatever team he gets traded to may add him if they please.
It's a good league, in our 2nd year, and we need a few more managers. Please DO NOT join if you don't plan to be active.

Also - since it's a H2H league, Moore will certainly be on a innings limit and will probably be shut down late-August or moved to the pen. And you've got to factor in his brutal division, which figures to be even worse seeing the improvements of the Yankees and Blue Jays.
As much as I love Matt Moore, if you're only keeping 8 guys you've got to go with Wainwright. He's 100% healthy and if he pitches the whole season an 18W, 200IP, 3.25ERA with 180K line isn't unreasonable. Moore, however, cannot reasonably expect to even come close to those numbers. Never draft rookies with the expectation that they'll out perform established stars. For every Kerry Wood and Albert Pujols, there are dozens of David Price's. Moore will have value this year, for certain, but don't expect him to exceed Michael Pineda 2011 type numbers.
You have every right to be frustrated. That would be extremely annoying and heart-breaking (not unlike the Red Sox blowing the game Wednesday night). But the rules are the rules, and you should manage accordingly. By the last week of the season you should mathematically estimate when you will run out of innings and thus plan to maximize your point totals. Stream pitchers, sit middle-tier guys so you have more room to start your aces the next day, do whatcha gotta do. But don't complain because he out managed you.
Pretty sure Verlander has been his best starter for literally every day of the entire season. I still agree, I'd have started Fister and used Scherzer in relief though.
Pretty sure Morrow has the best K-Rate in the league....I'd dump Garza or Scherzer. Or Hellickson. Probably Garza though, if need be.
