For a 12 teamer you have a good team.
Hitting: Your starting infield is drool-worthy (Votto, Goldy, Kipnis, Posey, Reyes). Plus you have a couple of guys with upside (Machado, Belt). Your starting outfield is weaker, but not horrible. Also, Id rather take a chance with Kemp and Cruz than a safer pick with less upside.
Pitching: Love Cole and Cobb. You did well (were lucky?) to get them after waiting so long to draft pitching. CC is a good #3. At some point in the first month or so, pitchers who went undrafted will emerge. If the SPs you have on the bench are underperforming, Im sure you will have the opportunity to pick up a FA pitcher or two.
I would roll with what you have going into the season. It would be foolish to drop your players for backups at this point. E.g. I Would rather have Belt than marginal 2B to back up a still-healthy Kipnis.

Its a nice team, but you may have been better off taking a hitter in the slot you took Kershaw (and maybe even King Felix), then picked up Alex Cobb/Julio Teheran in the later rounds. Good luck, go Tribe!

Thx man. All of the above 1Bs you mention will likely be off the board with the exception of Rizzo. Hosmer and Posey will probably be my 4th and 5th keeper. I like Holliday in left field, he is really consistent. Not sure if Upton ever gets back to his 2011 form.
I am in a 12 team league where we keep six. Assume 5x5 scoring. The only wrinkle is we keep 1 LF, 1RF, 1 CF instead of three OFs.
I am keeping 1. Trout (CF/LF), 2. Kipnis, and 3. Darvish. After that, it gets dicey. I have Posey, Hosmer, Justin Upton, Matt Holiday and Cliff Lee. Lee kicked #$%$ in our league last year, but pitching is so deep I'd rather not keep another arm unless I am hosed with my other keeper options.
What would it take to get him? Im in an 11 team, 5 player keeper league. Here are my keepers:
I also have Madison Bumgarner and Chris sale.
My target will likely keep: Strasburg, McCutch, Zobrist, Votto, and Gio.
Would Upton be enough? Hoping to do this pre-draft.

I have Longo, and would be excited if someone offered me Cutch (even if I had to give up a 3d round). I think Longo is becoming a little too injury prone. Didnt he have surgery on his hammy in November?
Hello - Im in a 11 team points league where we keep 5. As deep as the position seems to be, I have not had a 1st base keeper in a number of years. This year my keepers are Trout, Cargo, Longo, Justin Upton and Buster Posey. I would like to draft "the next big thing" in first basemen.
Most of the usual suspects will be kept (Votto, Pujols, Prince, etc). I think Goldy, Rizzo, and Ike will be available in the first or second round after we take keepers out of the equation. Who do you think will be the next really good offensive 1Ber? Also, when should I target them? Im guessing I need a pitcher with my first pick (back end of the first round).

Its a fair trade. I love Votto (But also like Harper in Dynasty formats). This may sound - honestly, I'd consider trading Hamilton, then slide Bautista into your UTIL. You've put together a nice team for a 10 team league. I have to ask, are have you won multiple championships with this squad?
11 team points league. I must keep 5 of these, unlimited number of years to keep: Trout, Cargo, Longoria, Posey, Justin Upton, Alan Craig, Mad Bum, Chris Sale, Aroldis and Kimbrel.

Pujols, Pedrio and Ellsbury. Beltran and Ramirez may have better years than Ellsbury; however, Ellsbury is not far removed from a 30 hr 50 sb season (two years ago?). Give me that potential.
Im in an 11 team points league. We keep five players. Who are my five (please). I finished in second this year.
1B: Allen Craig
3B: Evan Longoria
LF: Mike Trout
CF: Carlos Gonzalez
RF: Justin Upton
SP: Madison Bumgarner
SP: Chris Sale
RP: Craig Kimbrel
RP: Aroldis Chapman
Hi. As the season winds down, I like to think about which players I will keep for 2013. We keep five (5) for as long as we want. Currently in first in an 11-team points league.
My for sure keepers:
I need three more from:
Madison Bumgarner (Top 10 SP in my league)
Chris Sale (Top 10 SP in my league)
Justin Upton (Bounce back in 2013?)
Buster Posey (Top 30 Batter in my league and at a thin position)
Allen Craig (Lots of position eligibility and a high per game point avg)
I was leaning towards keeping Bumgarner and Sale or Bumgarner and Justin Upton.
