I know many people on these boards like to criticize simply to criticize. But I look at this team and see a great draft. Based on what I'm looking at, I'd imagine that you waited before drafting your OF too early. But all of those guys in your OF look like solid picks.
You IF looks great. I actually like Bartlett at SS. Hey, not every pick is gonna be perfect but remember that SS is a shallow position this year and going w/ Bartlett is a pretty fine choice.

I say don't make this trade. Yes, Kinsler is a bit better than Johnson, but not so much that you give up Marcum for it. Closers come and go. Heck, JJ Putz is out. Someone else will eventually get hurt. Don't like it at all. Just keep an eye out on the Free agents. You gain saves but lose elsewhere.

The question I would ask myself is this: Will Braun be healthy? You see, I had Braun last season. He had the same problem then as he does now. His side is aching. Why would a guy who is supposedly healthy continue to have the same problem?
If you get stuck w/ Braun, you have the possibility of getting stuck him w/ that injury. It clearly hampered him last season, and considering that it is only March and he is already bothered by it, are you willing to accept that risk?
Your giving up two healthy players for a question mark in Braun. As for filling your bench, I wouldn't coun't on Swisher (part time player), Stewart (part time player as of now). Crede sounds interesting but he is also a health risk.
I tend to lean towards stability. you have two stable players for an asterik. Maybe you should hold off a bit before pulling the plug on this deal. It could give you time to see how healthy Braun is, if Stewart is gonna land a full time gig, and to see how Lopez is gonna do as a leadoff hitter. Good luck.

Don't sweat it. Wainwright will outperform Volquez this season. Volquez will be on the Free Agent market often this season. Be glad you made this mistake. Dropping Wainwright won't offer you the opportunity to pick him up later in the year. He's a keeper. All projections show Wainwright as a stud this year.
