Forgot that I was going to chastise you for your lack of closers. You really don't need to punt that entire category. Try to pick up one at a time and anticipate when closers will change. Just like right now, Texas--everybody expects Feliz but could also be Soria who used to be very good.

I don't see as much work ahead as you seem to think. Belt--really could be huge stud in making. Baez--short time till his arrival. Gyorko--my favorite young player. Gattis--stud this year. Don't do anything drastic with your offense. you will be OK this year and even better next year. Your pitching is where I am blown away.Biddle, Wacha, Salazar,Lincecum, Griffin, Greinke, Fister and Cole incredible potential for Ks this year and beyond. What kind of draft are you looking at this year---2-3 rounds? If you could get the first or second pick in that draft and pickup someone like Jose Abreu or Alexander Guerrero that would help you significantly. Don't know all that you did rebuilding last year(would like to see your moves), but from where I sit it looks like you did a great job.

    Keeper Question

How did Darvish finish in your points standings last year? Would probably swap Darvish for Wacha---16th round versus 1st round just too much difference especially since that frees up your 1st round pick now. Need to project who would be available in your 1st round(ie--how many keepers does everyone have).

    Keeping trout

Hard to believe that those are the only guys you are considering as keepers. Let Trout go as a keeper. You paid $65 last year and got him. What makes you think you can't get him this year for $65? Look at the rest of your players. Surely you have some $1 or $4 closers or decent fill ins that you can keep and give you extra money for the draft. $275 is NOT a large budget to be dealing with.

Tanaka and Abreu. Both unknown but tremendous upside. V-Mart-- power declining and probable DH only eligibility. Bryant--your OF looks OK as is. As an expansion team, do you get the first two picks? Abreu or Tanaka won't be there if you have to snake thru 32 picks.
