When there, select "all players"/"all batters" or "all pitchers" and then the time period you want (ex. last 7 days). Then go in the columns and sort by the "rank". The first rank listed, the O-Rank is the rank at the start of the season. The second rank is the current rank for the time period selected.
I have found that is the easiest way to identify free agents etc who are currently hot. Also you could sort the list by other categories, such as saves, to identlfy specific needs.

You could also take a look at the FA hitters for the past 7 days to see if anyone stands out as being better than your reserves.
