I spoke with both managers and ended up voiding the trade to avoid any confusion for the weekend. If the teams would like to revisit the trade after all games involving the players are completed they can do so. It appears that the trade would have been pushed to week 10, but the details in the trade said the trade would reflect for week 9, so that is why I voided it before Sunday and erred on the side of caution. Thanks so much for all input.

So one of my managers came to me with a question regarding an accepted trade involving the following players:

    Alfred Morris (Was - RB)
    Wes Welker (NE - WR)
    for
    Percy Harvin (Min - WR)
    Jamaal Charles(KC - RB)

This trade was proposed on Monday, 10/29, and accepted on Thursday, 11/1, after the Chiefs/Chargers game was completed. Based on our league's trade rules it is subjected to a 2 day waiting period and league approval, meaning that unless 1/3 of the league votes against the trade, players will swap rosters by Sunday morning and be available to be inserted into lineups for Sunday/Monday.

The issue is that J.Charles was in the accepting team's lineup for the Thursday game and based on the waiver rules the they would also be able to play A.Morris on Sunday. Does this mean this manager should be able to use both players because of the timing of the trade? Or do J.Charles week 9 results transfer to the team that proposed the trade? Should the proposing team be able to insert J.Charles into their lineup given the fact that his points are a known entity?

I have some thoughts on what would be a fair resolution to this trade dilemma, but was looking for other Commissioners input on how they would handle this situation if it were their league.

It's a sticky wicket... all opinions are welcomed.

Agreed. I'm going to make this trade. I've got Boldin, Harrison and James Jones on my team in addition to Crayton and I would start Boldin and Harrison before Crayton. Crayton was band-aid to get thru Boldin's injury and besideshow many weeks does he have left before Glenn posibly returns.

    Thanks for the hit.

I have ROMO and VY for QBs and NE and DALLAS for DEF.

What are the thoughts of starting your QB against your own DEF?

Do I start ROMO and NE, obviously the two best options for each spot, but each directly effects the points of the other, or do I start ROMO and DALLAS in hopes they win the showdown? Or avoid the whole headache with VY and NE?

Not that either is a bad choice, but what are the opinions?

    P.Mannng vs BAL

    D.Brees vs ATL

I have been luckily/successfully flipping back and forth between them for the past month and getting that extra TD or avoiding those INTs. Please help... I'm exhausted!

Does anyone else think this is too good to be true?

    Give up:
    Steven Jackson and Patrick Crayton

    Get in return:
    Peyton Manning

Trade is effective for Week 7. Thoughts?
