mmm, if kang was playing everday then he'd be my choice. so if you can manage it day to day and have a backup 3b then kang. if you can't, castellanos.

looks like a shallow league. I like a lot of these guys, in order Eaton, Mazara, Wright (have to manage PT though), Bradley Jr., Ozuna, A Gone, Gomez. Last 2 to 3 not too high on.

Good think. K Rate from 28, to 27 to 24 this year. ISO matches last year. I still think it's high, but hey, at this point it proves he's got some pop even if it settles in more at .180 or so. That average will come down to around .260 most likely, but with 20HR pop and 10SB and in that lineup he should produce some value and longer term if he keeps making better contact and/or more BB could even be a sleeper for next year so yeah good times.

depends on league. in one year leagues he's a drop for sure. in dynasty you can hold, but long term he's never going to be more than a .280/15 guy. If his BB rate sticks he may eventually end up near top of lineup. Cards invested alot of $$ in him so they either are going to play him or trade him, but he's more 8-14 2b rank long term than top 8.

Even a rebound you would be talking about trading for a guy who hit 23HRs last year at 1b, not ideal. The avg. and RBI really carried his rank, and quite frankly masked a slow decline that had been going on for some time. He's turning into James Loney circa 2013, avg with very little pop.

Again, assuming the previous default rankings were based on a 1250IP limit which I believe? was the default yahoo roto setting, if you remove that then it assumes and unlimited IP limit and thus pitchers with high K's or W per start get downgraded substantially as theoretically you could just start as many Ps as possible on any team which would overwhelm any K value per inning or W value per start the current top pitchers have.
I am sure there are similar issues on the hitting side as well. Overall good job yahoo beta testing this first lmao.

in fairness, he was not bad last year either. But yeah, I'd lump him in more with the tier 3 SP, maybe more along the lines of Jon Lester.

These ranks look very off, I would guess that there is some breakdown in the logarithmics used to calculate the rankings. As an example, I believe pitchers are being ranked as if there is no IP limit, so you can forget any roto league pitcher ranking basically. In addition. holds have too hgh a value, considering the relative quantity of pitchers getting holds across the league.

A little bit, but if you are going for it this year it's a good deal. The young SP you are giving up are tough to let go, but in a 10 team league the talent pool for replacing that prospect pedigree is fairly deep.

tough one. Bogaerts better than seager. Martinez good but how to recent events fit into playing time? conforto over trumbo. even deal overall.
