For this year he won't be closing or starting, so not worth owning. Plus, go back and look at first year starters as crasstastic mentioned even kershaw in his first year was not worth owning. Same with Price. Same with Lincecum. It's extremely rare for a pitcher to just come up and dominate. He will probably also be overdrafted next year based on this. It really take 150IP for a guy to get to a good level in the majors.

fair trade. Bradley Jr. has dropped his K rate to 21%, which is respectable. Longer term this means a .270 avg. or so. The ISO seems real, so possibly 20/20? Bottom or order hurts him short term but that lineup is also loaded.

depends on league size, with choo, mazara, desmond, beltre the rangers seem set for starters, and they even have brinson and profar in minors for OF/IF depth. Unless there is an injury and/or gallo really rakes AND drops his K rate they will let him play everyday in the minors for a while would be my guess.

I do not own either chris carter or pujols, but I'd have to say that I would bet Pujols turns things around and ends up being a little more consistent.

If you don't need the closer this year, why not? You'll get a trial period at the end of this season to see what you have.

I never liked Justin Upton, or others like Carlos Gomez and Jason Heyward. his 38% K rate this far through the year is concerning, BB rate is down, no power. Is he hurt?? I would be tempted to drop especially in a one year league this may be a lost season for him.

Mazara, Grichuk and Conforto all slot into similar spots for me, very good ownable players. Dickerson is next, should come around. Then Hamilton, he's shown enough slight improvements to me to say he could hit .250+, then Peralta last mostly on injury/performance concerns.

He has surprised me, not that I think he'll replicate what he has done to this date all season, but he's shown better plate discpline so he could hit .280 rest of way. the low BB rate concerns me just to the extent of 'will he stay in top of order' if that was even 5-6% I'd be much more in.

it's not the worst deal, but I'd rather have a better closer than gomez. any chance you could take castro/murphy out and get a top 5 closer instead?

This is good stuff. he probably gets better, and his lineup is certainly powerful, but I see him ending up somewhere around 90-150 in final rankings.

probably no one will be added, unless like Velasquez last year someone that is not in the database gets called up. the best player that fits this bill is probably cody reed of the reds.
Other than players like that, I suggest you do more research because I've found useful gems on the wire in 16 team / 30 player dynasty leagues that are unowned. they are in the database.

mmm, if kang was playing everday then he'd be my choice. so if you can manage it day to day and have a backup 3b then kang. if you can't, castellanos.

looks like a shallow league. I like a lot of these guys, in order Eaton, Mazara, Wright (have to manage PT though), Bradley Jr., Ozuna, A Gone, Gomez. Last 2 to 3 not too high on.
