I just picked this guy up in my 10-team, H2H, non-keeper league.
He doesn't have the prospect pedigree of other M's arms such as Walkler, Hultzen or Paxton, but he pitched well last year and has been really good this season.
Do you think he can keep it up and be a valuable member of my rotation for the rest of the season?
In a 10-team, H2H, non-keeper league...
Team A gets:
Team B gets:
Team A already owns Kolten Wong as a 2B and could use a little low-end SP help.
Team B owns Ellsbury and needs some depth in the OF.
I drafted him as my #2 SP (he's now #3 after a recent trade). So, I am definitely holding on and hoping the strikeouts continue while the walk totals drop.
I would drop Fowler for Marisnick or Guerrero.
I own Garcia and think he could have a breakout season. By now, we pretty much know what Fowler's ceiling is. He's a free agent in my league.
I'm thinking about picking him up from the waiver wire before someone else in the league realizes how good he is playing.
My only candidates to drop would be Guerrero (yesterday's hot pick-up) or Cody Allen, who is my top closer but has been terrible for Cleveland so far.
I would suggest using the claim on Springer...and I'm an owner who drafted him and lost patience...although I was able to trade him for a top tier pitcher...not just send him to the waiver wire so someone could pick him up for free.
I picked up Guerrero last night and have him as a reserve OF on my bench. It's likely he will get 3B eligibility soon, but I was wondering what the odds are that he picks up SS and/or 2B eligibility along the way.
I realize this would take a few spot starts, several late-inning replacements (not likely with his defense) or an injury to Rollins/Kendrick, but I was just curious as to what the chances may be. He'd be a lot more useful to me if I could play him in the middle infield.
I did pick up Travis. In fact, I think my offense looks pretty decent.

Although I'm in a 10-team league, we carry deep rosters, and the best SPs available are Joe Kelly, Hector Santiago, Miguel Gonzalez, Kyle Gibson and Brandon Morrow.
What has changed is that four of the eight pitchers I've drafted are looking like busts right now, and my rotation really needs some help.
Meanwhile, Springer has become the fifth OF on my team and isn't getting any playing time with his consistent 0-4 performances each night.
