Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
12 team roto Keeper league. 5 keepers, and we lose the round they were drafted in. I am currently in 2nd. I've acquired some people in trades below. 1250 innings so not a lot of innings.
I was proposed Trout(15th round keeper) for my Bumgarner(2nd) and Cruz(2nd). Neither Cruz nor Bumgarner would be kept after this year but it hurts my pitching being in the race. Thoughts?
c-Posey(19th, one of my original keepers)
SS-Desmond(25th, one of my original keepers)
OF-Puig(25th, one of my originals)
SP-Archer(12th round keeper, original)
That's what I am thinking....I got Nelson Cruz this year in the 2nd round.....I'm not sure of keepers yet but going into this year I kept, Puig(25th), Desmond(25th), Posey(19th), Altuve(9th), and Archer(10th). I've traded Altuve and definitely wont be keeping Desmond because he will lose his ss eligibilty. I have Conforto as an 8th, Salazar as a 6th, Chapman as a 5th, Maeda as a 13th and others as substitutes.
I'm in a 12 team roto league where we keep 5 total each year and lose the round they were drafted in. I picked up Trea Turner so he would be a 25th round keeper. Even if he's called up I don't have a ton of use for him with Kipnis at 2nd(Devon Travis on DL) and Desmond at SS.
I was offered a 2nd round draft pick next year for Trea Turner. Thoughts?
Which will be up first. The consensus seems to be Glasnow but Taillon has mastered his control and has nothing else to really try and master? Glasnow seems to have better potential but he walks 4-5 people a game. Thoughts?
The responses are pretty funny. Those are semi close but Miggy is clearly the better choice. Take out the injury risk of Stanton and Miggy is still the better choice.
There were 4 players kept in the 1st round. This league has been going since 2003 so there are a lot of late round keepers like Stanton(25), Trout(13), Harper(25), Strausburg(25) to name a few....
5 Keeper league(lose the round you keep initially). Roto standard 12 team, 1250 innings.
I was proposed Kipnis, Bumgarner, and David Robertson for my Altuve.
I love Altuve but that seems like a lot for him. Altuve is a 9th round keeper. Kipnis, BUmngarner, and Robertson were all drafted early this year so they wouldn't be kept. I made round notes by the people I kept last year/previous years. K'9 and closers(high k relievers are a big deal in 1250 innings. I traded a lot of picks last year so got #$%$ pitching and have been spot starting everyone verse bad teams. Thoughts?
