I have Brees, Eli Manning and Trent Edwards. Brees is my go to guy, but for this week, I'm torn. Manning looked like garbage Monday, and Edwards is coming off a concussion. Do you think that Manning is looking for the playoffs too early? Is Edwards trying to prove a point (although it's been two weeks since the injury)? Buffalo is at home versus the Chargers, but I haven't seen the defense from SD that some quarters were predicting. Fantasy prediction points for all of them have been fairly to wildly inaccurate so far this season.

I think that Peterson is going to be worth more as the season goes on and the 'black and blue' division gets more injuries. The points projected factor... YMMV. However, I lucked into getting both the Vikings and Da Bears defenses. Chicago is definately my best points earner in terms of consistancy. Trading for a couple of good defenses never hurts because even if YOU aren't using one of them, NOONE else is.

Outside of that, Lee Evans (Bills) probably will be available, and the guy is sick. To pick up; Trent Edwards and Gus Ferrote immediately come to mind - most leagues dumped or ignored them respectively. If you're horse trading, it's what the market will bear, as usual. I think Cassel isn't a bad start (coming from a Buffalo fan). The Patriots aren't the monolithic powerhouse they were even a couple years ago, but they will win more than they lose, and I think Cassel will grow into his position now that he is starting and out from under Brady's shadow. I assume Tom is now going to take the time to knock up another supermodel and make the majority of the rest of us look down and wince that his bottom line is doing a heck of alot better than our middle lines.

Do you all think this is a case of L.T. going nuts the first couple years with big numbers, and then defenses working schemes to take him specifically out of the game (legitimately)? On the other hand, is it more of a team dependent offense that I've entirely missed? In my league, Gore and A.P. are the big clubs with the scary numbers. Sometimes they miss, but when they hit... brutal.
