Only if Mike Fisher is one of your Centers, and you can combo the two of them. Kovalev alone isn't worth the risk, believe me, I have him on all three of my teams. He has yet to have that meteoric rise for a few games that helps win weeks for you.
I expected a good season from him too, he seems to have a history of making good first impressions before dropping his production playing for a new city.
Then again, that burst could come at any time. Kovalev is the single most frustrating player in the NHL. lol

Stats should be dolled out the same as roster size/limits. Stats like +/- and faceoffs can be frustrating, I've never dabbled in hits (or goalie losses, I just don't get that one).
Good 'starter' stats would be simple, but thorough.
A basic stat setup could look like this:
For skaters: G, A, PPP, SHP, SOG, GWG, PIM (that util slot is good for your penalty tank if you've built a solid team)
For goalies: W, SO, GAA, SV%
If you want to kick it up a notch, make it PPG and SHG instead of just points.

I would say Prospal, only because he's one of two Ranger forwards who can be relied upon this season. Gabby is pretty much automatic, and Prospal is playing some good hockey on a struggling club.
If +/- is an issue, perhaps Wolski is the better guy right now, but having watched every game with Prospal this season, he's a very safe start.
