Obviously Charles starts and Gore sits, but choosing between the other 2 is unclear. I play PPR so Vereen is gold, but Lacy, if close to 100%, is hard to argue against.

A puzzle. Vereen starts, but follow your instincts thereafter. On paper it has to be Alf but with Shanahan intent on hobbling his team I'd start Spiller.

Sorry, it just dawned on me this is J not L Bell. Move him to 5: Monday night and Reggae looks good to play...and you have no alternatives if Reggae does play.

1 Bell 2 Toby (if healthy and not looking good) 3 Rainey 4 Brown 5 Ogby ....don't consider Thomas (Miller is back, Fins have no commitment to the run). Good luck.

Jennings: good matchup (KC bottom 10 in YPC), good workload, an offense committed to the run, last 4 games either 100+ yards or multiple TDs. SJax: playing well, also at home, dream matchup. Not PT (who gets work? How committed to run?) nor Todman (will get some work but marginal talent in poor offense).

Jennings: quality matchup (KC is bottom 10 in YPC), good workload, healthy, last 4 games either 100+ yards or multiple TDs. Cooper : dream matchup and the WR most targeted by Foles. The third is problematic. Likely stuck with Ridley and his uncertain workload, but would start 1 of the Vikes if either is active. Good luck.

Both are risky starts. The Leaky Curtain Steelers D is worsening as the season progresses, but have hope in the self destructive tendencies of Andy Dalton, which should be enough for the Steelers to be only slightly below average this week (18-20th perhaps). The Bucs draw the offense that has played THE fewest snaps of any NFL team, have a much better defense than 4-9 would suggest and are strong (rush defense) where the 9rs want to go. My hunch is the Bucs live up to their mean of roughly 10-12 in defensive production. Good luck.

I agree with you on Crabtree. He's the riskiest of the 3 although he's arguably in the most upside position. Washington is so weak, however, that it's hard to envision Douglas not out producing Stevie. Good luck.

3-4 Gio and Stacy: tough call between the 2.
Vereen is on a tear. Jennings resumes the starter role and has 3 100 yard games followed by 2 TDs in his last 4 and KC is not a daunting matchup for an offense, like Oakland's which is committed to the run. At RB3 Gio would be my choice but that's entirely a gut call.

I own all of these guys. No, you don't bench Vereen for Gio. Yes, Gio could go off vs the Steelers leaky curtain defense, but he has 12-15 touches to get it done and luck has to be with him. Vereen gets enough touches in space that he doesn't require luck to produce.

Wow! Clay "sexy." Earlier this year I couldn't trade him for a 6 pack. Times have changed. I like both this week, but, as a closet 49 fan, I'm partial to Davis. Good luck.

If you believe Pagano it's TY who he "...wants to get more involved in the offense..." It's Houston. Someone's going off.

I like all 3. I'd exclude Amendola as it's unclear who is healthy and what the roles figure to be post Gronk. Rogers may be the Colts most talented WR. Patterson has huge upside with no apparent healthy Viking RBs and he would be my choice, but he comes with an equally uncertain floor.

Jennings has a quality matchup. KC is average as a run defense on the season and 24th or so over the past 4 games. He resumes the lead back role and has 3 100 yard games and 1 multiple TD game in his last 4. He's an easy start. SJax, despite being left for dead earlier this season, is playing well and gets the best matchup of this group vs the hapless Skins. Both are playing at home. Third is tough as I doubt AP plays, the Giants have given up on the year and the Saints figure to dismantle the Rams. Ok: Stacy, but there's no conviction there.

Searching out the most dour choices you've succeeded in finding them. Todman lacks skills but should get you 8-10 points. CJ?K in tough matchups like this is prone to 1 or 2 points.

Odd comment "...Stevie is safest choice..." This is the team with 5 turnovers last week including 4 picks. Stevie's a pretty easy last choice and certainly has the least upside vs a 4-1 home team over the last 5 weeks. I'm not a Harry Douglas fan due to his lack of skill, but he has a cushy matchup vs a team literally falling apart at its head coach's behest. The Skins are dead last in most pass defensive metrics despite strong competition by the incompetent 11 comprising the Cowboys (lack of) defense and that was before their head coach decided to disembowel his team.

Spiller gives you home run potential. Obgby doesn't, but should be productive in a 10-15 touches sort of way. Spiller would be an easy choice for me but the Bills offense has been very erratic lately.
