Commissioner Corner Message Board
Trying to compile a list of sleepers and busts, what do you think?
Do you agree with this list? Also I need 2 keepers from the following...which two would you pick?
Derrick Rose - $8, Brook Lopez - $4, David West - $7,Victor Oladipo - $16, Larry Sanders - $35, Anderson Varejao - $1. I'm already keeping Lillard at $4 and just need two more...thanks!

I'd start Brady despite the weather....don't trust Stafford without Megatron. I'd also play Amaro...the thing is I have no idea how bad the weather is. If it's a massive downpour where the players may slip and whatnot, maybe I'd got Stafford and Miller to be safe. But if it's playable conditions, I'd still play Brady and Amaro

Houston plays Tennesse week 8 which I feel is a solid matchup although it's on the road. Baltimore is also available. You think based on tonight's result, I should add Romo over Mason or defenses and drop Asiata? And I will take a look at the post
In a 10-team H2H league I'm 4-2 (3rd, 6-team playoff) and am thinking of dropping Matt Asiata...however he does still have value as a goal-line back in case one of my guys gets hurt so I'm unsure if I should drop him for the following players.
Tre Mason - I've been big on this guy before the season started and I have a feeling he'll be the guy in STL as the other Stacy and Cunningham seem to be plodders..he finally got a shot but I'm unsure if this is the week he becomes the guy. I could leave him and throw an FAAB on him next week (I have $58 left).
Tony Romo - I have Matt Ryan but I don't know if I trust him in Baltimore and Romo could have a nice week.
HOU or CHI D - I have SF Def but I'm unsure if I can start them this week against Denver. They have a bye next week as well so I'd probably want a defense for the next 2 weeks if I choose to go this route.
My RBs are Foster, Morris, Gore, Asiata, Antone Smith. I suppose I could wait to see what happens tonight in the NE-NYJ (my opponent has Gostkowski) and if Gostkowski has a nice game, I could add Romo or a def to try and get those pts. But do you think Asiata is worth dropping for Mason, Romo, HOU D, or CHI D? Thanks!

I think I'd take it as I view Bernard and Lacy as more or less the same and Ivory has much more value than Starks. I got offered Jonathan Stewart for Chris Johnson? Who would you rather have?

Ertz could be like Kelce but Miller might be alright. Give Ertz a week, if he does bad then can drop him for H. Miller.

I replied to your response to me but assuming you didn't see, I'll post here. I'd drop Dalton since I'm sure no one would rush to pick him up and even if they do, there are tons of servicable QBs you could use that week. Ertz has upside so you don't want to rush to drop him...give him at least another week. Btw, I've been offered Jonathan Stewart for Chris Johnson, would you take it? I feel like I should since Stewart at least is starting and may be more useful on a bye week than Johnson who's back up to Ivory on a terrible Jets offense.

I got offered Jonathan Stewart for Chris Johnson...would you take that? I feel like I should since Stewart is starting and I don't expect much out of either...but Stewart at least has some upside as opposed to the Jets offense which Johnson is the #2 RB in. I'll reply on your post in case you don't see this as well but I'd drop Dalton...Dalton has a great matchup but I don't know if anyone will rush to pick him up so early. If they do, my apologies but I'm sure there's other QBs you could target that week. Ertz could be a servicable TE so I get not wanting to drop him...if he isn't by this week or next, just drop him for Dalton or another backup QB.

My team is QB - Ryan, WR - Jordy Nelson, Steve Smith, RB - Foster, Gore, TE - Heath Miller, W/R - Morris, W/R/T - Andre Johnson, BN - Witten, Kendall Wright, Terrance Williams, Asiata, Josh Gordon, Chris Johnson. Given that, did I make good keeper trades? Note I might be trading C. Johnson for Jonathan Stewart just because of bye week fill-in matchups
Well I'm 4-1 in my 10-team H2H 0.5 PPR league which is a keeper league (2 keepers). I like the trades I've made and they've led to me being a contender but I'm starting to think they were terrible considering it's a keeper league. I was just looking to shape my team into a contender and worry about keepers if I don't think my team is a contender or if I own a player that is a very valuable keeper. Here were the trades
I got Knile Davis and gave up Bishop Sankey
I got Arian Foster, Alfred Morris, Kendall Wright and gave up Jamaal Charles, Mark Ingram, Knile Davis
I got Matt Ryan, Keenan Allen, Frank Gore and gave up Matt Stafford, Alshon Jeffery, Chris Ivory
I got Josh Gordon and gave up Keenan Allen
So they've been good trades for this year but were they terrible considering it's a keeper?

Yeah I feel like Jordy, Steve Smith, Terrance Williams, Andre Johnson, K Wright are servicable....even if I don't get Marshall and trade for Gordon. Thanks!

Keep in mind that I may unable to land Brandon Marshall. If you think I have enough WR depth even without him, then I think I'll trade Keenan Allen for Gordon
- Nandan Nandan Oct 10, 2014 7:14 PM Flag
OK and final q...do you think I'm giving too much for Gordon? I just worry I'm giving a potential WR1/2 for a guy who may not pan out. What do you think?

David, always a pleasure seeing you on the football and baseball message board. In my opinion, if you're looking for a defense for the next 6 weeks, Cincy is the better bet. I agree with what you say, asid for Indy and NO, Cincy should do well whereas I don't know if I could expect the same out of Denver weeks 7-9. I do own the Denver defense but I streak each week and the matchup this week against the Jets is too much to pass up on. But if you want a 6-week defense, Cincy is the add. Hope I helped

David, always a pleasure reading your responses on here. 1) In trade 1, my only worry is I wonder if I'm paying too much for a WR that could potentially struggle out of the gate but if you feel it's worth, I may do it. 2) I'm offering trade 3 and I couldn't see him taking that offer, I thought Smith was realistic. 3) What if I asked for Branden Oliver or Fred Jackson instead of Ingram? 4) I'm willing to do both trades...or even all if they're worth it. Trade 1 is the only trade that's been offered to me, I'm just looking to ship depth away for a stud while making my team considerably better. I was actually offered Gordon for Gore but I didn't like my RB depth after losing him.
I'm in a 10-team H2H standard 0.5 PPR league and have a 4-1 record(3rd place, 6-team playoff). I feel like there's a good chance I'll be in the playoffs so I'm trying to build my roster to become a true contender. What do you think of these trade offers?
Trade 1 (I've been offered this)
I get Josh Gordon and give up Keenan Allen
I get Antonio Gates + Ingram and give up Andre Johnson + Heath Miller(or Witten)
I get Brandon Marshall and give up Steve Smith(or any WR except Jordy Nelson) + Asiata
My team is QB - Ryan, WR - Jordy, Steve Smith, RB - Foster, Gore, TE - Heath, W/R - Alfred Morris, W/R/T - Andre Johnson, BN - Keenan Allen, Asiata, Kendall Wright, Terrance Williams, Chris Johnson, Witten. Are any of those trades good ideas for me? Would you drop C. Johnson for CJ Anderson? Thanks!
