    Ask Me I'm The Guru

    by Vince Oct 28, 2014 2:32 PM

I'm in a 10-team standard H2H league and trying to improve. What do you think of these potential trades?

    Trade 1
I get Pau Gasol + Tyreke Evans and give up Al Jefferson + Ty Lawson

    Trade 2
I get Ibaka + Ilyasova and give up Al Jeff + Lawson

    Trade 3
I get LBJ and give up Al Jeff + Lawson + Jordan Hill
Note: I could try to asking for Mason Plumlee + Wilson Chandler in addition but thought I'd be asking for too much and figured those 3 alone for LBJ could be worth it.

My team is PG - CP3, Lillard, Lawson, D. Rose, SG - Reggie Jackson, Tony Allen, SF - Batum, Paul Pierce, Khris Middleton, PF - Al Jefferson, Jordan Hill, Favors, C - Brook Lopez, Nerlens Noel, Brandon Bass. Are either of these trades good moves for me to make? Thanks in advance Vince!

    Trading away Lillard, good returns?

You think I should try to trade Lillard or an elite big and then Rose after for another player? Or you meant try to trade Rose before trading Lillard?

I feel with the roster above, I need a true elite big. I've been getting rebounds because I keep adding bigs but it's still a struggle for me to win rebounds. But I asked for Joe Johnson + Cousins in exchange for Lillard + J. Hill to make up some 3s. Is that better? Or should I forget Cousins altogether?

I lead the league by a country mile in assists so not too worried about losing out there. But do you think Cousins is reliable to trade for? I don't doubt he's a first-round talent but I worry about him getting into trouble.

I agree. In case I can't get LBJ, is Cousins alright? I always worry about him being a knucklehead but I can't doubt his first-round talent if he's fine.

What do you think of trading away Lillard for this return.

    Trade 1
I get Demarcus Cousins and give up Lillard

    Trade 2
I get LBJ and give up Lillard + Jordan Hill

My team is PG - CP3, Lillard, Lawson, D. Rose, SG - Reggie Jackson, Wesley Johnson, SF - Batum, Paul Pierce, Khris Middleton, PF - Al Jefferson, Jordan Hill, Favors, C - Brook Lopez, Nerlens Noel, John Henson. Are either of these trades good moves for me to make? Thanks!

    anyone?

  • I'm in a 10-team standard H2H league (6-team playoff) and currently in 6th so trying to make my team a contender instead of a team barely in the playoffs and am trying to see if I can dangle Lillard since I already have CP3. What do you think of these potential trades, do they help me?

    Trading away Lillard, good move?

Thanks for your response, but I figure some managers may pay up given Lillard's current top 5 rank so I'm trying to sell him as that. With KD's new injury, I worry about if he'll be the #1 fantasy player but otherwise I'd agree with you. I'd throw in D Rose instead of Ilyasova or Hill in the trades but I don't know if it'd make a difference or if my PGs of CP3, Lawson, Reggie Jackson would be good. What you think?

I agree with you, but I figure some of the managers may look at Lillard's top 5 player ranking and pay up. Do you think throwing in D Rose instead of Ilyasova and Hill make them good trades for me?

    K Allen, L Murray, J Matthews, or V Jackson. PICK 2!

Hey there, thanks for answering my question! I'd go Keenan and then it's a toss up between Murray, Miller and Jordan Matthews imo but I'd lean Murray. I don't normally endorse Raiders but he's looked good recently and it's hard to sit him. I don't expect him to repeat what he did 3 weeks ago against KC but he should still be solid. If not him, maybe go Jordan Matthews since he should have a nice day against the Dallas Defense, until last week he hadn't had a bad game but that was against Seattle so it was expected. I listed Miller only because I know Yahoo has him ranked as the 16th best RB this week but I'm unsure if I'd start him over your other options. Keenan is a must start out of the guys you listed, and I'm betting you were leaning that way anyways. Hope I helped:)

I'm kinda confused...I guess your saying Shaun Hill will struggle so Mason will get touches but do nothing with them?

  • Nandan Nandan Dec 10, 2014 7:32 PM Flag

Can you explain why? I'm leaning Mathews as well but I think Mason may have a higher floor

Romo at Philly or Manziel? Who to start?

I have both QBs and I'm going Romo. I expect a much better performance from him this week than thanksgiving since he has more rest and he's actually been better on the road than at home. Plus I don't know what to expect from Manziel. I'd feel safer going with Romo, he's the guy I've started most of the year and I have the #1 seed so sticking with him. Good luck

  • Mason gets carries but I don't know how he'll do against the Arizona defense. Don't know what to expect in the Philly-Dallas game. So who should I start?

    Need 2 in a 0.5 PPR

    by Nandan Nov 26, 2014 8:39 PM

The thing is I need at least 1 RB, Foster or Gore. I don't know if I should just take the chance Foster is out and if so, go with Terrance West off the bench. Because Gore likely won't go off for 2 TD.

  • I need to outscore the 6th seed by about 65 pts to make the playoffs so I need a miracle. Which 2 of these 5 would you say gives me the biggest chance? Need 1 RB and 1 FLEX spot...Foster, Gore, Steve Smith, Andre Johnson, Terrance Williams.

I'm leaning Foster and Smith since I can't trust any of the other guys to go off. My only concern would be whether or not Foster plays but then again, if he doesn't chances of me putting up the points are unlikely. I'm likely dropping Williams for Ben at QB since he could be in a shootout unless I'm starting TWill.

  • Stafford or Roethlisberger? To make the playoffs, I'll have to need a miracle and outscore the 6th seed by 65 pts in a 0.5 PPR with 6 pts for a TD pass, basically have to get my entire team to go off. Big Ben is a free agent, should I pick him up and start him over Stafford? Stafford has the matchup but he's been shaky lately

  • FFL panel mostly had him over 12.9 fantasy pts but I'm unsure with how up and down he's been. I could play him, Terrance West, or Terrance Williams. Who would you start?
