    TJ OSHIE....WHATS GOING ON???

I'd drop him. Even if he's moved to a different team, like the Bruins, I don't expect anything to change in terms of his production. I think what you see is what you get with him this season. It's too bad. I like the player. I just don't like him from a fantasy perspective.

Staal and Vanek. I would hang on to Simmonds for the PIM value if that's a stat your league uses.

Which draft strategy worked for you?

CJ anderson wasn't drafted so again the draft strategy didn't matter except that it gave me a chance to win. I actually started the season slowly with like a 1-3 record.

I went RB/RB. I picked Forte, then Bell. Bell was effectively my MVP. I finished 9-5 for a third place finish. I beat the 2nd place team in the semis who had Jordy Nelson and Eddie Lacy, whose team was 10-4. I then went on to rematch with the #1 team in the league with an 11-3 record. He had Murray, Megatron, and Hill. I was up by about 2.16 going into the championship. CJ Anderson eked out Hill's numbers and clinched it. Bottom line, it just came down to dumb luck. That's all.

    BENCHING-FORTE-AM I CRAZY

I'd go with Forte. I own him, too. He's gotten you this far and given the confidence issues at QB, I'd go with a back. Though to be fair, Detroit is really tough against the run, so don't count out Jeffery as an option. I mistakenly benched him a couple weeks due to a lack of trust in him and he put up big numbers. Clausen has something to prove out there. It's also a matchup with a huge division rival and they might want some payback after that Thanksgiving Day loss. Trestman's job hangs in the balance, too. There is more than just pride at stake here.

Am I crazy to move Patty Kane?

I would keep Kane. If you can ride out the next couple of weeks, try to grab someone like Brodeur off the waiver wire as a handcuff for Allen. If he's already been scooped up, then look at guys like Scott Darling and Anti Raanta, who are also currently filling in for an injured Crawford. Luongo's numbers are okay, but the team in front of him won't get him as many wins as the fill-ins for Chicago. Pacioretty is a great player, but I'd always keep Kane given the choice of the two.

Am I Over Reacting on Commishs (BS) Ruling

    by C Nov 21, 2014 3:43 PM
MrSpeechman MrSpeechman Nov 23, 2014 12:32 PM Flag

I see both sides. On the one hand, changing the rules this late in the season is pretty lame. However, I do not begrudge a non-playoff contender from wanting to play spoiler. In this case, you clearly vetoed the trade, but then the commish changed the rules to make it so that it would go through. If it had gone through under the original rules set at the start of the season, then you'd be screwed and couldn't really complain. But if the rules were changed like that, then I agree, that is BS. It looks like you're screwed either way at this point. Does the commish have a team, too? How is his team doing? The best way to strike back is to simply win your league's championship in spite of your terrible commish.

Keep the Leafs Dmen. Yeah, Muzz has been a let down so far. I own Doughty, and he hasn't quite performed up to snuff either. As mediocre as the Leafs are, I'd take their blue liners over LA's right now. If you really need to grab someone off waivers, I'm sure you can still find some decent options besides Muzz.

If I owned Pacioretty, I'd keep him in this instance. Personally, I would require a little more in the deal.

Ok to have more then one team?

I'm surprised this is even allowed. I agree. It's definitely not fair, and frankly, I don't see the point of it. It takes a lot of the fun out of it, I think, as well as the challenge. Besides, it's like playing a game of chess against yourself. You tend to not play as well as you would against actual opponents because you don't have so much riding on it. So what do you do when one of your teams matches up against the other? I think the best thing you can do is rather than ask if someone else needs a manager for another team, ask two other people if they'd like to manage two of your teams.

    Looking for trade advice

They're both fairly comparable. Simmonds has more upside with respect to PIMs. Steen may net you more PP points, though - and he is on the 2nd line on a very good team. Simmonds is on the third line on a mediocre team. It probably comes down to what you think you need most in terms of your stat categories. I own Simmonds and if offered this deal, I'd lean towards hanging on to Wayne.

I have Evander Kane on my roster and his knee injury is projected to keep him out at least two weeks (or 7-10 games). Is he worth holding onto despite the hole in my roster currently, or do I look for a short-term stop gap off waivers or FA, realizing if I drop him, another team will claim him. Should I consider trading him? The other question with these injuries is that even when he comes back, how long will it take for him to get back up to speed at 100%? What are other Kane owners doing given this situation?

I'd go with Pats and Chargers there. The match-ups are very good. You might even be able to take a gamble with Miami as the big trip over the pond can't be ideal for either of those offenses, especially the one led by Derek Carr.

She might have gotten nervous about his slow start and maybe she desperately needs a W in Week 4. Since he's on a bye week, she may just be looking to fill in a big hole in her lineup. What is her record? What is her waiver position? Maybe she thought there was a chance she could get him back off waivers after this week.
