    Waiver settings

I have these exact same settings in my league. What's confusing you is that a dropped player's "1 day" waiver time must be at least 24 hrs. Let's compare two situations. One, you drop a player at noon, and the other player you drop at 11:55PM that evening on Wednesday. Now the player you dropped at noon would have several hours on Wednesday to be seen and claimed but the player you dropped at 11:55PM would likely go unnoticed until sometime Thursday. So the idea is to guarantee that each dropped player will be on the waiver wire long enough for all teams to notice his availability and put in a claim.

Simply put.......a player's "1 day" does not begin until the following day. Which means, if you drop a player just after midnight at 12:05 on Wednesday then he'll sit there thru Thursday and be awarded Friday. It's the only way to ensure a player spends at least 24 hours on the waiver wire.

    IR is broken

I had JJ Watt on my IR to start the season since he was on the PUP list and then Gronk was listed as "out" for Week 1 and Watt played so I switched Watt and Gronk on IR. Problem was they changed Gronk's status from "out" to "inactive" which disqualified him from the IR so I had to drop TWO players from my roster to pick up a TE. The only problem I have is the switching of a player's designation.

Since there is only one team with multiple owners you could get away with making an exception and announcing the special circumstances concerning miscommunication/butting heads to the rest of the league. I personally hate waivers but have had to use them to help out the less experienced teams. I think having a one day waiver would help alleviate issues like this one. I try to be as helpful as I can be but I'm always aware of the perception with each of my decisions.
