Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
WR Shorts @ SEA
WR Steve Johnson @ NYJ
WR Marlon Brown vs. HOU
RB Ridley vs. TB
RB Gio Bernard vs. GB
Shorts could get shut down like Boldin was last week vs. SEA or he could get all of the looks as Henne's only decent target.
Johnson has been getting points and has had some success vs. NYJ but he's not going to blow up.
Brown is a "sleeper" this week - Flacco has been going to him for TD's and HOU gives up TD's to WR2.
Ridley has been terrible, TB has a good run D - but he could break out at any time.
Gio started to break out last week and has a good opponent for some more success this week - but he's sharing action so his upside might be limited.
At this point I'm leaning towards Johnson and Gio - but I'm looking for input. Thanks for the help.
Ridley v TB
Giovani v GB
Shorts @ Sea
St Johnson @ NYJ
M Brown (Bal.) v HOU
Kind of have to run Ridley again but I'd rather play Gio. St Johnson has done alright and Shorts @ Sea looks bad. Brown could be a sleeper start but I can't afford to risk it. As it is Yahoo has my opponent scoring 157.27 while I am only predicted to score 157.26 - lol.

not if he thinks he can get Miller but the question is how bad he wants rodgers. is Bradford his starter if the trade doesnt happen? who is his rb2?

I've liked Cook for a couple of years now - They would remember he was out there towards the end of the season and he would go on a hot streak. If StL is smart they will make sure he gets 2nd or 3rd most targets on the team - but the way it goes withTE's on offenses still trying to establish themselves, its sometimes hard to free that guy up enough when the play calling is forced get more conservative. And again, I was surprised to see that AZ was so tough on TE last year. But everything you said about Gio is dead on also. Who knows, but maybe for week 1 it is wise to run with the veteran thats a starter since those appear to be the only 2 variables we can value definitively.

With so many receivers, I'm not convinced yet that Cook will get enough targets so I expect that Bernard will get more overall action - I just can't say if that will translate to more points. Both are going against tough D's (AZ was #1 vs TE last year). I'm leaning towards Bernard - but you should know that I am notorious for picking wrong on my own teams - so now you can also use that info as further justification to go with Cook.

I might go with Miller. He is the starter and should get more plays than the other 3. Vereen and Thompkins are not the main guys in that offense (also its Murphys Law for me - whichever I play the other will have a better game). They say Tate is #1 in Seattle but we don't know how many looks that will translate to yet.

I'm in a keeper league and still in the race for the title this year. I've been able to hang in there despite carrying 4 prospects and having 4 guys on the DL (and one Josh Johnson), but there are a few players in Free Agents that could help if none of these guys are going to play/give me anything this season. This is a very competitive 16 team league, with 25 players plus to DL spots, so its not like there's a lot of gold out there waiting to be discovered.
Which prospect and/or DL'd player, if any, would you drop for some help right now: Prospects: Oscar Taveras, Carlos Martinez, Michael Pineda, and Kevin Gausman; DL: Melky Cabrera, Matt Moore, Jason Vargas, and Jonathan Niese.
Need to start one RB, one TE, and 2 Extra Players out of this group:
Ridley v NYJ
Hillman v KC
A Morris v DAL
V Davis v NO
A Hernandez v NYJ
TYHilton v BUF
Shorts v TEN
