Both are great keepers. I think the safer bet is Krejci and the one with the higher potential is Brassard. Brassard could be an 80 pt. center playing with nash/filatov/voracek but is fairly injury prone. Krejci should be a 75 pt. player but is pushed to the 2nd/3rd line due to Savard and Bergeron. Don't think you can go wrong with either but take Brassard for long term and Krejci for short term.
Thanks for the help. It's a tough decision for me. Bergeron is great I just worry about the injury history. Although if Savard falters next year it's his for the taking... Decisions, decisions.
Definitely Spezza over Savard. You don't really know yet how the Cooke hit will affect him long term(not to mention he's getting older). Lecavalier and Naslund both had trouble coming back to form after similar hits, so take that for what its worth.
Depends, are we talking keeper or one year?
In a one year league I'd rank them:
In a keeper I'd rank them:
Would love to have this team if it's still available. I'm a very active manager and have placed in the top 3 in almost all my leagues. Please let me know what I would have to do.
Honestly I think you're spot on with your choices. The only person I might swap is Stastny for Spezza. No doubt Stastny is good but he might get bumped down by Duchene. Spezza should bounce back next year and is Ottawa's main offensive weapon. Also take into consideration trade value bc with Duchene, Kopitar, and Stamkos you are stacked at center for the next decade. I think Spezza would have a little more trade value than Stastny.
16 team keeper. G A Pts. PPP PIM SOG +/-
Get to keep 3 centers and not which to keep for last spot.
E. Staal and Zetterberg are obvious choices but I'm not sure who to keep for the last one.
I'm leaning towards J. Staal, Krejci or Berglund. I like the upside of Berglund the most. Opinions? Answer my Q and I'd be happy to help with yours.
I actually tried something along those lines with Auld + Campbell for Miller. I'm wondering if this year is a career year for Auld.
Also offered Pomminville and Campbell for Hossa which got shot down. And offered Campbell and PMB for Perry which got shot down. Guy with Perry only has 2 D rostered and we play 4 so I'm thinkin I could try to go after him again. You think I should try and grab Miller then?
Side note I'm currently in 1st out of 12 so I hate to mess with my roster too much. We get to keep 7 each year and I do factor that into my trades. My keepers as of now are Malkin, Getzlaf, Phanuef, Kovalchuk, Nabby and I have a bunch on the edge: Pomminville, S. Mason, Weber, Nik Backstrom(Wash.) Patrick Marleau.
I would def take a shot at Huet. He's not the best but he is a starting goaltender which are few and far between. Not sure who I would drop though...
Trans 1: Keep Suter/Eriksson
Trans 2: If this is a keeper league I would def trade Gionta for Ryan but if this is a 1-year then maybe stick with Gionta. Ryan is getting juggled onto different lines so its hard to predict how well he'll do this year.
Your team overall is pretty strong. Goaltending may be a weak spot simply bc they all are very young. Again if this is a keeper league your G's are some of the best to have. Any other options on the wire?
Would appreciate your help in my Ryan Whitney IR thread. Thanks.
Thanks for the help. I need a good RW as my current RWingers are underacheiving(Pomminville, Williams and PMB). What kind of return are we looking at with Weber? Perry? Zherdev? Hossa?
My goaltending is Nabby, S. Mason, and Auld.
Idk Vancouver has been hot lately so Budaj my get lit up. On the other hand Calgary is playing NYR so Kipper will face a good amount of shots with Gomez back in the line up.
Personally I would sit Budaj. Kipper will let at least one goal in which gives you the win in GA and with a padding of 39 saves you will win that category as well. I don't see a team like the Rangers having more than 25-30 shots.
Would appreciate your help in my Whitney IR thread. Thanks.
I have Ryan Whitney stashed on IR and he's coming back soon. I have to decide whether to drop someone or try and trade someone.
My other D are:
Normally I would just drop Burns but I hate to drop so much prospective talent with the unknowns surrounding Ryan Whitney. This is a 12 team Keeper. My fringe forwards are PM Bouchard and J.Staal.
As a side note what kind of return in a trade should be looking for with a player like Brian Campbell? Any opinions would be appreciated.
Hossa and Kovy didnt play on the same line anyways.... And he's arguably better off playing with Bryan Little as he is right now. How many LW are there that will get you 80 pts a season and 50 goals AT THE VERY LEAST??? Not too mention Lecavalier is one of the best in the game. +/- isnt a smart stat to go off of bc it could change at any point in the year(unless theyre on the Wings then you know it will be high...). Stick with Kovy and Vinny especially if this is a one year league.
not bad at all assuming you have another good goaltender and are ok at LW. bryz will do great this year and boyle will be playing for one of the better teams in the league with a wicked power play. Frolov is a decent winger and budaj is below average and mcdonald got lit up by buffalo and let in 7 goals on monday. take the deal and run as long as your not destroyed at LW.
