Commissioner Corner Message Board
I think it's ridiculous. The original trade was a 4 for 4 trade that was vetoed by the league, this 2nd one more players were just added. The guy trading Lucroy, Konerko etc is curently in 3rd place while the guy trading Fielder and Granderson is in 9th. I feel that he is just off loading players.
Jonathan Lucroy (Mil - C)
Paul Konerko (CWS - 1B)
Ryan Ludwick (Cin - OF)
Alex Gordon (KC - OF)
Andre Ethier (LAD - OF)
A.J. Burnett (Pit - SP)
Ben SheetsDL (Atl - SP)
Tim Hudson (Atl - SP)
Brandon McCarthy (Oak - SP)
A.J. Pierzynski (CWS - C)
Prince Fielder (Det - 1B)
Curtis Granderson (NYY - OF)
Zack Greinke (LAA - SP)
Gio Gonzalez (Was - SP)
Would you start Ervin Santana against Texas or bench him. He's hot but struggles against Texas. His streak has to end sooner or later and the Rangers are dangerous. Santana is great at home though.
I'm leaning toward benching him. Anyone?
Not a chance. I'd try to get someone with better value. Pitchers are hard to come by and you could probably get a trade for an outfielder/1B to play utility.
Zimmerman's good but Sandoval is worth holding onto on the DL and play match ups with free agency SP's. I say no depending on the FA market.
Dice K would be my first choice if he wasn't showing signs of injury.
None of those guys are gonna give you a lot of help in wins though. Jackson would be my 2nd choice but I wouldn't drop Vazquez unless I picked up a healthy Dice K.
I'd be patient and see what else is out there. I'd rather trade Lohse for a quality OF instead. Zobrist is great to have for utility/rover but not an everyday OF. He's dealing his garbage for a hot pitcher and Ugh-la.
I've got both pitchers.
Do I go with the hot Jurrjens against a hard hitting team or Gallardo who is pitching terrible this season against the Braves average line up.
OR start both and let it ride?

RP's are way overrated and if it were up to me, I'd get rid of saves completely in fantasy because its a junk category. I'd give your team a solid 9 out of 10. You should be in the top 4 of your league.

I wouldn't aim so high. It doesn't look like you have a chance in hell to get Hanley, go for Gallardo. Could pay off in later trades if Webb, Liriano and Sheets do half as good as what they used to.
Gotta say, your team looks like a rough one to manage throughout the season. Good luck.
I don't know why you would drop any solid starting pitcher. I'd keep Happ, had him last year, he's a good 4/5 starter in any league and I'd look for him to be even better this year.
Out of the 4 closers you have its a toss up between Lidge or Qualls.
You never drop starters so early. Some start slow, some end slow and you can use that to your advantage if you have enough in your arsenal. Also, pitchers have grueling season preperations and can wear, who's to say you wont lose your ace. Depending on the league, I think more than 2 closers are a waste anyway, they only get saves and k/9. A deep pitching bench is where its at.
I need SP and he needs hits and SB (which I lead the league in). Something tells me I could get a little more for Suzuki but I haven't been able to get anyone in my league to bite on any trades. Should I take it?
My pitching has been on hiatus since day one with Webb on the DL, Volquez on the DL and now Dempster.
Not to mention that Harden has really been a lemon this year
