    Hornqvist vs. Mackinnon

    by Dan E Oct 31, 2014 2:57 PM

One year league especially with shots Hornqvist unless you really need some faceoffs. Hornqvist will have better plus minus for sure and I will bet on shots, goals and total points.

Keeper league I think its clearly Mackinnon. But keep this in mind, as long as Hornqvist is in Pittsburgh he could get 80 plus points every year. I wouldn't bank on Mackinnon getting 80 every year until maybe year 4.

Its only even if its points. If hits PIMs are involved and GWG, Perry wins.

Kane might get 20 PIMs Perry could get 80. That's a massive jump. Kane does not hit whatsoever so if hits are involved Perry wins by a country mile.

    6 player trade help

    by nijole c Nov 5, 2014 7:10 AM

One year league I would actually strongly think about it. Kopitar has been awful this year. Rask has been okay, but has finally started to turn it around. The sedins look like they are back to ppg and Bernier hasn't been very good.

I would have to look at your team and what stats are involved to make a better suggestion. If its a keeper I would instantly reject it.

    Team hit hard by injuries.

    by Usman Nov 3, 2014 3:49 AM

I don't think Gibson will be the starter. Andersen has let in like 2 goals a game. Oshie if he is out indefinetley for sure. You still have lots of time to catch up if its Head to Head.

    Lack of fantasy hockey stats

    by Sam A. Nov 7, 2014 12:16 PM

The one area where you can find some of these stats is in the evaluate trade function. I try to ignore them because they are out to lunch, but they have projected stats.

The one thing that I hope that they will give us options with are farm teams, give aways and take aways. These stats are tracked and therefore should be integrated into the game.

    Trade Advice!?

    by Keith Nov 6, 2014 12:04 PM

If its still on the table do it. You might need to drop Moulson but big deal. If you league has hits Simmonds is worth a fortune he is actually a top 40 player. Krejci will score 5 more points than Simmonds. I actually think that in the proper format Krejci and Pearson for Simmonds alone is about right.

Coyle could get 50 points, and offer some PIMs, plus someone else might come up. Long-term this should work out well.

Doughty is one of the most overrated fantasy chips available. Yes do this deal now. Doughty 30 points iginla 60 points.

Karlsson 70 points plus a good waiver pick up is 50 points.

    120 to 90.

You probably will win in shots as well. Plus minus you will lose unless you pick someone up that matches doughty.

Who do I keep, who do I drop ???

    by Duncan Oct 27, 2014 12:37 PM

Green has played at a higher ppg pace than people realize. The question is injury. Carlson is probably the only one I would drop because I don't think he will break 40 points. Pick Green now and look to see who is the hottest and make decisions based upon games being played, injury, ppp and etc.

    Should I trade

    by Anthony Oct 27, 2014 3:34 PM

Are PIMs your only peripheral stat? If yes make the trade. If not then maybe not. What are the stats in the league?

TRADE HELP!! - J. Thornton for N. MacKinnon.

    by Colin Oct 27, 2014 10:44 AM

    Hey fellow bot,

Two ways to approach the problem.

In a keeper league do it immediately and don't look back, you would win by a country mile.

One year league it is a little more complicated. If your league has shots Mackinnon is shooting at more than 3 pg; way more than Thornton. No reason why Mackinnon couldn't turn on the jets and get as many points as Joe, but you have to think about plus minus and ppp. I would keep Joe Thornton for now. But it could change. Joe Thornton minimum is probably 65, high is probably 80. Mackinnon is way lower at 55, but probably just as high at 80, with more goals.

If he wants to move Mackinnon look at someone at your roster who is over preforming and has less potential than Mackinnon and hope it pans out later in the season.

    Goalie Question

    by Bulldozier1963 Oct 26, 2014 6:35 PM

Trade one of Rask or Price if someone will give you last years value. Andersen and one of Rask and Price will be plenty of ammo for 1 and 2. Minnesota is a very deep team and should do well. If you own Holtby as well hold onto him for a bit because his value is a little low but then peddle him off as well later on.

Andersen should have more wins than Kuemper and Holtby.

    Blockbuster trade, worth disputing??

    by Feedy Oct 22, 2014 8:10 PM

I think its a solid win for team 1, but there are some things to consider. Ovechkin hits more than all three guys combined, if its a keeper league, Toews might have more value in someones mind.

Those things being said, I like Team ones haul, but it isn't lopsided enough to consider a veto.

    Backstrom (WAS) - Halak trade

    by Andy C Oct 27, 2014 5:37 PM

Halak should be on a Playoff team, Khudobin is on one of the worst teams we have seen in some time. If you have other goalies I might make the trade, but if you don't, don't do it. Backstrom more assits, more PPP. You lose wins for sure and probably GAA.

    Which trade should I accept

    by Anthony Oct 27, 2014 5:47 PM

Do you need faceoffs? If you don't need faceoffs I would consider number 2. I don't think Datsyuk is worth very much and for me the trade really is Fleury and JVR for Malkin and Toews. I still take number 1.

    Blockbuster trade need help

    by Anthony Oct 27, 2014 5:05 PM

I take Team A because you get the best player and the goalies for the most part are okay. Datsyuk might be done. I wouldn't take him in the first 12 rounds of a full keeper league.

    trade advice

    by brett b Oct 25, 2014 6:33 PM

I think its an interesting trade but I would say the Voracek for this reason, adding Yakupov and Monahan is dead weight and you don't want to drop those players. Both players could score 40 points this year and it wouldn't be a failure. In most leagues you can still find 50 point players on the waiver wire. The 1st round pick could become a top 5 pick unless that team is absolutely loaded. Long-term really depends on the value of the 1st round pick.

    Veto Trade

    by L.P Oct 27, 2014 7:27 PM

Apologize thought the tab was a reply tab.

  • I would email both owners and see what was going on first, presuming you are the commissioner. No one is a clear winner, although I think the Benn side wins the deal. If Zetterberg was hurt and this trade was made to increase the strength of one team, than for sure there is a problem.
