T J, 1) Yahoo! owns the product. If they outsource, they still manage the team. 2) Yahoo! will not let you do a bunch of stuff using a mobile browser. (try looking at the commissioner's corner posts on a mobile browser - you can't) 3) It does change any of my comments about the lack of the message board in the app, the scrolling and more. If you look at the AppStore comments and reviews I am far from alone in this opinion.

I appreciate that Yahoo! has tried to improve the mobile app, but they could have done with a bit of UAT. Most of the front page is wasted with adding or joining leagues which is something that is done only a handful of times a year. The message board was the only thing that kept our league from going to CBS or ESPN. They have removed that completely. They seem to be trying to force Smack Talk down our throats even if we don't like it. And you know have to scroll and scroll and scroll to see how the players on your team are doing. I get that they want a better UI and room for ads but the UX is horrible. Take it from a CEO of a software company with a product background, this was a huge miss and the worst example of bad Product Management.

Thanks Steve. The way the alert was worded was enough to raise an eyebrow.

  • I saw this message today: We’re nearing the midpoint of the season, which means the Midsummer Classic is coming soon! Since the All-Star Break shortens the week of July 11th, Week 15 in Fantasy Baseball will combine 2 Game Weeks and last from July 11th until July 24th.

My question is how does this affect points leagues? I get that head to head would combine for scheduling, but does this affect how weekly points leagues set their rosters? Can we still do our Sunday night cut-off for roster changes or do we need to set a two week roster based on this message. In the past we stuck with the weekly Sunday night cut-off but this message makes me wonder if this has changed.

I am seeing the same thing. Yesterday it seemed that Stattracked hung up around 4:00 PM EDT or so, so I am guessing Yahoo! didn't post the incomplete points. It is a holiday weekend to boot so the delay could be a while.
